UPS screwed up mine also. Had it shipped to work, didn't have my name specified, and put back as undeliverable. Now with thanksgiving, I gotta wait till monday to get it. :disgust:
I received my TDK CDRW today. It did not come with the $50 rebate in box. However I called TDK at 1-800-835-8273 and asked them to send me the coupon and they said they will send it. The only thing they asked is where I purchased the CDRW from. I told them Buy.com and they said all is well.
If you have any reservations call TDK. If you don't want to risk printing a copy just give them a call and they will mail you the rebate.
I did call and all they are handling is air freight friday due to the holiday. I pretty much got the runaround, and it's not a big deal anyway, with family and all being in, wqon't have time to play with it anyway. Doh! I broke my promise about not posting in this thread again. Ok this time I really mean it...really...

I just went and picked mine up. Curiously, even though UPS said the package did not bear my name, it does, and I see no reason why they should not have been able to deliver it.
Woohoo!!! I am burning as I type this, using my swanky new TDK. I am starting with the audio CDs I regularly carry in my car, as I had my old car stolen not too long ago and it was costly replacing them; I figure if a folder full of burned copies gets ripped, come si, come sa. It took 7 minutes to copy Radiohead's "Kid A".
Well, mine won't be here until Monday because of their improper routing in Tennessee and the fact that they are only doing air packages on Friday. Oh well, my Replay came today and it is great.
The Circuit City rebate is printed on the receipt at the cashier. They won't just give it to you.
However, if you call TDK, ask for promotions and they will take your name and address and mail you one. They also said that you are better off using an original rather than one printed off the web 'to be on the safe side'.
I just ordered one of these and got it for 168.95 after MIR. I put it in my shopping cart earlier in the week when the price was 248.95. It was still there today at the same price! WooHoo!
Woohoo, got mine today. Man, what a smoke ass kit it has. This TDK makes my old memorex look like a yugo and the TDK look like a lexus. Cant wait to get it installed and do some burning.
1) I got my kit 2 days ago and it does rock. The drive is great, comes with everything you need even a pen to label CDs.
2) If you want an original rebate... don't even leave your house. Just email TDK. They responded to me in less than 15 minutes and told me that they were in the mail. I received the rebate forms yesterday... they sent me 3 of them for some reason.
3) I installed the new firmware and everything still works great. I haven't tried a 32X rip yet though.
I am all around impressed so far. Great drive, great customer service, outstanding price. What more can I ask for?
Kind of off topic but has anyone gotten anywhere close to 32x audio rips on the TDK. I tried two different packages (the TDK stuff and Adaptec EZ CD Creator) and I can only average about 14X... far short from the advertised. Of course, it is advertised as 32x max which means the average could be anywhere.
