this is a good deal.. i got in, told the cust service lady that target had them for $13.. she didn't really care, but in the end charged me $13.99+tax no questions asked.. she even explained the TWO rebates that printed out to me..

anyways, thanks guys for a good deal.. now if only i were that lucky on the 24x writer!!!

I am going to try this tomorrow. My spindle of TDKs I got from target last year when they had a 100 for free after rebate is almost gone.
I don't know what speed the ones I bought then were but they burn at 24x just fine.

Worked for me.

Got the price printout from CompUSA for 19.99. Took it to CC, the manager ok'd the PM and got the 2 rebates for $25. Made $5.

Went back later with the Target printout but this time, CSR wouldnt agree to pricematch. Havent given up yet. Will try again tomorrow.

A question from newcomer: if I order the express pick up at CC's web site, will I be able to cancel the order online or by phone or do I have to visit the store to pick up the CDR and return it? I'm not sure if CC will be out of stock for those TDK CDR by Wednesday, so I am still trying to decide if I should order express pick up because the price is 29.99 showing online. Also, do all the CCs in the nation have the same price for the TDK CDR? The on I visited today is 24.99 but out of stock.

alright here's the skinny...you do online/w/express instore pup..if its available in stock the express online order will go thru if not instock the order is cancellable at the BM as well as if it is instock you do your (you did bring the Target circular..?? ) PM at that time after you get all your first transaction(rebate printouts inhand..) done then do the PM.

uhoh...just read the rebate forms...if you do this deal its "Limit 1 rebate(s) per: person." ...so you will need to get the 'extended family' in on this..lol

(1)When CC's web site says "not available" at express pickup page, does it mean the store i selected is not participating in this express pickup program or it's simply out of stock there.
(2)So if it says "available", does it naturally mean that it's in stock? In another work, is there a possibility where I order an item online that's "available" and when I go pick it up, it's not there?
(3)If i order online at 29.99, will CC adjust the price to 24.99 when I pick it up? (The CC i visited today has it for 24.99 although it's out of stock, so i'm going to order express pick up at another store)

hmmm, i have too many outstanding rebates...
so make $10 after waiting for god amount time? i rather have that $2x.yz in my pockets. anyways, i have way toooo many cdr's... to the point i replace them over my 3.5 floppy, even to put 5mb on the cd. i could see why apple refuses to put in 3.5 floppy drive, who needs it?

too much trouble just to get $10 from a MIR... Gotta run to Target, then go to CC, hope they still have it in stock, wait in line to PM the CDR... come home doing the MIR. track the MIR, call the CS if MIR didn't come after 8 weeks..

The whole thing will probably take me at least 1 hour. 1 hour just for 10 dollars?? I don't know about you, but i have much better things to do

Done this before. When there's no serial number, don't fill it out. I got a pack of 30 TDK's during a hot deal several months ago. Didn't fill out any serial number and still got the rebate.

Just came back from CC, feel lucky enough, I got one. Actually I went to local target store first, however our target store would not give weekly Ad to me since there was no extra, funny! I ended up taking the price tag to local CC store. There is only one TDK 50pk CDR left on the shelf. Took that one to CSR for PM, that guy checked with manager, and allowed me to do that, also print out two mail-in rebate. So I am making $12 after rebate. Nice deal! Thanks for head up!

The rebate from CC using a UPC copy and the rebate from TDK using the original UPC .

If you have the Target ad, why wouldn't CC price match? I understand
when they wouldn't PM the TDK CD-Writer for me since all I had was
a BB shelf tag (and their policy says they need an ad), but in this
case there is a legitimate ad. I got PM'ed on it two times now at
my CC and if they try to argue that they have the rebate, just tell
them that you are not interested in the rebate (you should already
have the forms anyway), so their policy says they match the price.
Ask to have the manager's full name and then pick up the phone in
the return department and speak to corporate about why he/she is
not following the advertised pricing policy.
