TDK CD-R's Free + Cash Back (PM & MIR)

caveman2001 - as far as quality goes, I had purchased a pack of TDKs last year and half the spindle had some crazy looking streak through the CDs. The quality of TDKs seems to have dropped along w/pricing. I've had several recordables become unreadable after burning, and all I've been using is TDKs. I might start using the Fujifilm brand.

Grrr....

I tried calling CC last night, to see if they had any in stock. The phone message said that they were closed (it was 8:15 PM), but their hours message said that they are open until 9:00. Because of this, there was no way to get through to an employee. I tried calling some other CCs (who are not within driving distance), but they were no help. I then just decided to drive over, to find out that they were out of stock.

I did find out, however, that they would be getting in a new shipment today. So, I went down there this morning, and they did have the cds. When I showed them the Target ad, they were not sure if it would be possible to PM since the 13.99 price would cause them to loose money with the rebates. I had them call their manager, who told them that it wouldn't work if I would make money. Also, they tried telling me some BS that the computer wouldn't even let them type in the $13 price, since the rebates made that not possible.

So, the cds will end up being free, but I would have LOVED to make some money.

PS. If you are in Portland, don't go to the Washington Green CC. (they are the ones that gave me trouble)

When I bought the CDR at CC, my name is preprinted on the rebate form and the receipt. But unfortunately, it was misspelled. How the hell do they know my name and address? Do they keep this kind of information in their database? Can I go to a CC and ask them to change my name in their database then? And can I have a rebate form reprinted?
