bot has finished this version release, some things are still in the works for the Gold release.

1) SETI Driver type functions specific and unique to the FlexInstaller
2) Multiple CPU support for the LAN install.
3) GUI "Tools" module for controlling clients

YOU WILL NEED A VALID USER_INFO.SAH, there is NOT one provided. The program will not let you install without this file, but
it WILL allow you to browse for it.

It may take a minute or two for the clients to get up to speed, so be patient! If your CPU %
doesn't go up right away, give it a minute.

The Seti CLI is downloaded from the internet. You will need to be connected to the internet for this part of the operation. If you are not using a SetiQ on your LAN you will also need to be connected to the internet for the process of downloading Seti work units. The service will stop if it attempts to get a work unit and you are not connected to the internet.

Changes/Fixes in Version 0.9

- Swapped Install/Not Installing Lists Left/Right Positions
- PCs now default to DO NOT install
- Fixed inability to select any drive for the user_info.sah besides C:
- Fixed PC Names > 13 characters were not installing
- Fixed Multi-processor support for more than 2 processors ***Local Install Only***

Known Issues...

LAN install only installs ONE service on remote boxes. There was unlimited multi-processor support across the LAN but was NOT comfortable enough with its ability to include it in this release. This decision was made to atleast allow this release to be available rather than NO release.

Any comments/suggestions should be directed to bot2600@machinethoughts.com or shuxclams@scarieville.com or post to this thread.

Hey guys, if you have the installer and have had an issue that needs to be looked at please post your experiances here. TIA
Again all feedback is greatly appreciated.

The Multi CPU had to be taken out for reasons best explained by Bot, it will however be a feature for the GOLD release.
The Tools are close to completion but were not included at this time.
The Cacheing funtion is a work in progress, and will be a new program altogether.

Crazee,
did you install locally at each machine?
Did you install using the LAN install function?
Did it set up the correct proxy configurations?
Did you use the scheduling function?
Did all the Domain Clients show up when you chose the LAN install?
Was the LAN install intuitive?

Thanks Shuxclams and BOT!

I assimilated a Celeron 800 running WinXP Home edition.
It was a local install set to Orangekid's proxy.

Everything went off without a hitch.

Again, Thanks for your efforts
More assimilations will be forthcoming!

Great job guys! I'll test it out if I can ever get the NIC working in my P166 MMX. :|

You do know that the SETI Driver source code is available, right?

a few questions...

1. did you purposely lock the window at its location? I can't move it around my screen. (kind of inconvienent)
2. does it purposely not have an icon in the taskbar or the system tray? Also not show up in Alt+tab? I have to minimize windows to find it (very inconvienent).
3. When it opens the page www.teamanandtech.com after exiting the program, you should make it open into a new window, having it move my browser off of the reply to a message page was kind of annoying

Thanks for your awesome effort making this program! I am gonna try to get the people at the high school I went to, to let me install it on some of their machines using this installer... nice program.

Well it looks fine for a first test..

But I have the same problems as zeruty

Hopefully they will be gone in the Gold version..

Other than that it looks fine..

I havent tried the LAN install yet, but it detected all the computers in my domain, so thats fine..
Please note it didnt detect computers on the same IP range, but a different workgroup..½

Hey Shuxclams, am I correct in that you can use SETI Q to monitor the wu's being done with your flexinstaller? Will it work with SETI Watch?
