As with all good things, our race with TeAm AnandTech must and has drawn to a close. As Ambassador at Large for Team Starfire, I offer my hearty and sincere congratulations to all of the Team AnandTech members.
It has been a long and trying two months. Mostly it was we members of Team Starfire trying to figure out a way to catch up. That aside, I am sure that I speak for all of our members in saying that we had a great time racing with TA. The new friendships that have been started will most certainly continue. These friendship cannot but help in the furtherance of the SETI@home project. In the end, that is what this was all about anyway.
Team AnandTech has emerged victorious by some unknown number of WUs. Exactly how many will never be known but in reality, it really does not matter. Victory is claimed with but a single WU. The ultimate winner though has been SETI@home. As Baldy has said over in our forum, perhaps this race was indeed part of the bandwidth problem that we now face. I too would like to think that.
If I may offer up a nomination for Most Valuable Race Participant, I would nominate Mr. Engineer. His effort and undying energy was without a doubt one of if not the prime contributing factors in the rejuvenation of TeAm AnandTech. Your sir are one hell of a motivator and I can only hope that one day I may find such a talant hidden inside of me. I salute you Mr. Engineer.
Thank you to my counterpart Baldy for working with me. The few problems which we faced were quickly solved to the satisfaction of both teams. If only every problem we face in life could be solved so quickly and easily. Thank you TeAm AnandTech for a great time. Although you claim the win, we are all winners for having participated in this race.
