Titan have a min frame rate of 35FPS but an average of 29FPS, loool.

Source said the GPU was running at 800MHz. That doesnt make any sense. On those clocks it will barely beat a 7970GHz. The architecture advancements will be used puttng the 290X around 900-950Mhz, not putting it lower than all previous high ends.

Memory bandwidth on the memory clocks revealed by the"leaker" doesnt add up to the +300GB/s bandwidth. Its lower with those clocks.

Maybe he accidentally typed the minimum number to the average column in Excel, so it is 29,1fps Minimum and 32fps Average.
But at the same benchmark(TR) with 4x MSAA, minimum and average has the same value of 15.1fps.

Dont know, maybe fake maybe not.

It only sounds like a bargain because the Titan cost an inexcusable grand. Even so, $600 for a top end card is about right in today's world. If this thing OCs really well, I may trade up my 670s and grab one for little cost. It may be a decent switch.

AMD still has problems with OpenGL in other games, too. This is one area they could really improve their drivers. These benchmarks just show that at least preliminary nothing has changed on this front :/

Source? Wolfenstein is an OpenGL game and HD7970 crushes GTX680. I can't think of any modern OpenGL games that were made in recent years so please specify. Rage has been coded like a dog which is something Carmack acknowledged due to the texture prefatch.

Source? Wolfenstein is an OpenGL game and HD7970 crushes GTX680. I can't think of any modern OpenGL games that were made in recent years so please specify. Rage has been coded like a dog which is something Carmack acknowledged due to the texture prefatch.

Games using Monogame on Windows come to mind. Fez has stutter and vsync issues, for example. It might have more to do with the underlying OpenTK or whatever is used there, but nvidia guys have an easier time there.
while these games might not be the graphical powerhouses video card forum members rave about, they're none the less a significant part of the modern gaming landscape.

edit: I'd like to add that since I'm thinking mostly indies and other non-AAA games here, then it's not about the performance (95% modern GPUs have enough horsepower to max these babies out), but how problem-less the experience is. It is in this abstract domain that nVidia fares a little better on these titles than AMD currently.
