sorry nvidia you lose yet another AiB. European card cutter Club3D has now gone AMD exclusive. they now join XFX, Jetway (well jetway went neutral in asia), and the now defunct BFG (swallowed by diamond multimedia)
http://www.techpowerup.com/185533/club3d-to-focus-exclusively-on-amd-products.html

imo the next to jump ship will be either gainward or palit. palit was once an AMD AiB so the move would be natural, and their at the bottom now of nvidia's card cutters now that sparkle has stepped up their game. PoV, evga, PNY are making too much moneh, chainteck just came back, and while sparkle and galaxy could stop i dont see them doing so anytime soon.

There is a good news and bad news about Club3D

Bad news: Club3D has inherent brand problem of being European manufacturer with the name that sounds like a cheap Asian ripoff.

Good news: Their marketing penetration is close to zero and most people will never hear their name.

Troll thread? I am not sure what the OP is actually trying to say, other than the obvious statement that they went AMD exclusive...

Club3d is a part of TUL corporation which is PowerColor. No surprise they are exclusive to AMD now.

I haven't seen a Club3D Nvidia card in a while. Very low key if anything.

They are European only iirc. They don't sell them in the US.

Your good news sounds like the NV perspective. How's that good news for anyone?

Club3D, Gainward, Palit, Jetway, Powercolor... these are all small-time manufacturers who likely cut their manufacturing in half just to cut costs and survive in a more challenging economic environment.
XFX is the only one that might have a slightly larger footprint but that may just be perception due to their marketing efforts.
It'll matter when it's Asus, Gigabyte, or someone of their size and stature taking such action.

Kind of wonder if Club3D switched because they didn't have the order volume to get decent prices from Nvidia. Based on AMD's AIB history I'd say whatever pricing system they use appears to be survivable for niche brands.

Not much AMD marketshare left. So I know who the loser is on the table between Club3D and nVidia.

Palit left AMD on bad terms due to the HD4850 Golden Sample, so I doubt they are looking to join AMD or if AMD would even let them back in.

PowerColor isn't small time. They sell nearly as many cards as Sapphire. They are not as large as ASUS or the like, but I would be willing to bet the number of GPU's that they sell is not that much lower. ASUS is huge because they do things besides GPU's.

I honestly don't know why anyone would buy anything other than EVGA when buying NVIDIA. I guess there are some cool features on some of the MSI, Asus, and Gigabyte cards, but the US based customer support, step-up, and just all around great customer service is reason enough to buy EVGA.

BFG was a close second, but they are gone. XFX used to be good also for both NV and AMD, but they've gotten rid of their double lifetime warranty and a lot of their non-reference coolers are garbage, so I don't pay much attention to them anymore either. When buying AMD I either look for a straight reference card or an MSI card with a "Frozr" cooler, which are pretty solid coolers.

Perhaps someone with experience with Club3D can comment if this is an actual loss for NVIDIA customers or just a shug and a "whatever".

From experience, Twin Frozr coolers aren't necessarily that good and sometimes don't even cool the VRMs that well. Sapphire Dual-X is better at first, but one of mine developed fan problems early. I think the best reasonably-priced cooler overall is the ASUS DirectCU II with anti-dust fans. There are more exotic Lightnings and Vapor-X or whatever but those prices can be crazy.

I didn't know Club3D existed until a few weeks ago, but that's probably because I don't live in Europe. I agree that their company name sounds pretty tacky. For a European market though it's probably not that bad... if they sold in America they'd probably have to rename themselves though.

My Twin Frozr card stays really cool, which I like, but the fans are also really loud anywhere past 50%. I don't know if that's normal or if it's just my card.

In my experience they do a good job of cooling the GPU, but watch your VRM temps because some models might not do that great of a job cooling VRMs. And all models of Twin Frozrs seem to use dinky little fans with big hubs. I doubt they achieve as much static pressure as designs like Sapphire's Dual-X or ASUS'S DCuII, and they definitely don't move as much air without generating noise. The difference between a 92mm fan and 80mm fan might not seem like much, but that's a (92/80)^2 = 32.25% difference in surface area. Depending on exact fan blade designs and such the airflow can differ, but in general, if you use a bigger fan, you can move the same amount of air with lower rpm and thus lower fan noise, compared to a smaller fan.

I also heard that Twin Frozrs have become or will soon become the bottom-of-the-line dual-fan option, with Power Edition and Lightning or HAWK or whatever being the premium lines. I don't know if that's true or not, though.

Never switching from MSI's cards personally, can't say I've ever seen one of Club3D's cards, so can't comment.
