TechSpot adopts latency benchmarks in new Titan review

So, another review site is jumping on board with latency benchmarking first introduced by TechReport and refined by PC Perspective (and used to lesser effect on Tom's Hardware).

As a side note, TechSpot has added a number of dual card solutions to its benchmarking, including 7870 crossfire. Awesome for those users looking for the best performance for the dollar.

I've just got to ask, where is Anandtech on all of this?

Head in sand, content with meaningless benchmarks numbers that dosn't tell the whole story...that is where AT's GPU review is right now.

Will it change...perhaps....but it will reqiure some pressure...sadly.

Remember back when the gtx480 came out, and it was "only" 15% faster than the hd5870, but reportedly minimums were more like 20-25% faster than the hd5870's and AMD fanatics got all upset because apparently Nvidia fanatics were going out of their way to find excuses why the gtx480 was more than just 15% better than the hd5870?

This just shows that time has so much run out for just min-avg-max graphs...adapt...or become obsolete Anandtech...

A single FPS number...are you kidding me?!

Not even min-avg-max...just a SINGLE number...frametimes are just one of many problems with AT's GPU' reviews.

I only read their reviews for the technical parts...I ignore their "performance" part....as it is useless.

Yes but Ryan has already stated the tools used currently aren't good enough and that there is something better coming...

I'm not saying he's right or not, just pointing out he isn't stuck on avg forever but wants better tools than fraps which PCPER showed could be completely misleading in cases like CF.

Pure min/max numbers are pointless.

If your chugging along at 60fps 99% of the time but hit 2fps for a short time due to a hitch and 300fps for a few frames because you just stared at the sky box would those min/max numbers be at all useful?
