I want FPS-graps, I want min-avg-max, I want framtimes...not just a single useless number.
That is what most here want as well.

Wierd thing is he's actually agreeing with what BFG said but at the same time arguing against him.
I'm not seeing that. Explain to us lesser mortals?
BFG says that max/min numbers are useless. Max/min numbers are single point numbers.
Lonbjerg seems to be ranting about how we needs graphs for FPS not single point numbers.
Umm no. He was ranting that that is all Anandtech provided was an average FPS number. Nothing else. Not even single point min or max. Nada. Bare minimum in their reviews for quite a while now.
And it looks like they will be one of the last to jump on the frametime bandwagon, perhaps let other sites do all the hard legwork first.
H has the best charts and reviews I think. Nice graphs over time and shows how much time is spent at certain fps. That is nice.
Pretty sure that I read him ranting at BFG for saying that min/max FPS numbers were meaningless.
That was me.
Min/max are both absolutely useless metrics.
Sure they are....*chough*
FP fluxtutions are just as bad as microstutter...time too ignore posters making such...lame ...claims.
No Wonder Anand's performance stats are useless if that is the "attitude"...
EDIT:
But do you wanna bet if I take this further...the blame will be put at me...not the idiotic statment? ^^
Didn't you hear...min FPS are worthless....just ask BFG10K
So, another review site is jumping on board with latency benchmarking first introduced by TechReport and refined by PC Perspective (and used to lesser effect on Tom's Hardware).
I've just got to ask, where is Anandtech on all of this?
I never agreed with Ryan offering, "terrible habit of making mountains out of molehills," out of investigating beyond frame-rate.
It's wonderful to see reviews, articles, investigations and discussions that try to go beyond just frame-rate!
Yeah, where are the SLI reviews etc with the WC NV Titan monster they got....Its not like they are reviewing dozens of GPUs a week.....
I thought AT did actually have min/avg/max on their charts, what happened to them?...
So you get a single maximum when staring at the sky, and a single minimum from anything ranging from a streaming glitch to OS noise. How exactly are these two extra points going to show you “FP fluxtutions”?FP fluxtutions are just as bad as microstutter...time too ignore posters making such...lame ...claims.
You do whatever you like to "take it further". But if you don't like people disagreeing with you, maybe an open forum isn't the best place for you. Have you considered your own blog with comments disabled? But do you wanna bet if I take this further...the blame will be put at me...not the idiotic statment? ^^
Exactly, and a completely useless number at that.SirP said sustained minimums, if thats what reviewers who do list mins and max fps use then it's all good. If however they just scroll through their fps to give you the lowest digit they find as a min, then aint it also just a number?

Heck, you can get different min/max points with the same configuration just by repeatedly running the same benchmark. These are elementary concepts of benchmarking.
By definition min/max are single points, so theyre absolutely useless for anything. Either go with full plots or just post up an average, but certainly dont bother with useless minimum/maximum scores.

That there is a sig worthy statement if i ever saw one. :biggrin:I'm willing to bet that you verbally argue with traffic signs.
It's really cool how you addressed my points about min/max. :awe:It's seems disproportional for me, too make a blog...just so I don't have to read your posts...don't ya think?
I'll just put you on mental ignore...less effort, for same solution.
Must be something about folks from Denmark. Both him and ShintaiDK exhibit the same open hostility towards forum-goers."My personality is who I am...my attitude depends on who YOU are"- Lawnberger
I don't think who we are will make one iota about your attitude
