I'll agree in a sense here. They used the "pledge" to try to trap Trump but he played the negotiating game much better. Trump was very smart not agreeing to it.

These are professional politicians, ostensibly competing for the top spot in the same team. Of course they're not throwing the game just because they don't get what they want. If this were a sport, would you even qualify for weekend league?
