I'm not a big fan of Ted, but I'm glad to see some major Democrats put their support behind Obama.

GO OBAMA!

All these New England liberals' endorsements are one thing. Obama needs endorsements from Middle America and conservative America. I don't think he has any.

Great, I'll be eagerly awaiting the next thread you will post on Monday when he actually does endorse Obama.

Well it was to appologize for butchering his name on the senate floor. Still one of the funiest bloopers in politics. naw it probably was an old single malt delivered by an 18yo blonde intern.

LOL, do you also find it amazing that the usual suspects that would normally denounce Sen. Kennedy as a drunk, a "liberal", and possibly a murderer are now prasing his actions??

Pabster, why don't you just make an Obama endorsement thread so you can glee at one page instead of the three per day you make?

That's not where Obama's weakest. He's weakest among the old school, older democrats and the establisment types. They are exactly the type the Kennedy name appeals to. There are few better endorsements in a democratic primary than Kennedy, in fact the only big one left is Gore.

Why? It's not as if he's creating a thread for every editorial board of non big name endorsement Obama has gotten. This is only the second thread that's about endorsements for Obama, and both of them have been huge.

Is he giving an opinion or input along with his article? No it's just run and go linking with a "Hope train" catchphrase.

As bad as the Paulbot's and Billary supporters are, they give a reasoning with an article or news worthy post, even if they do have a couple screws loose

Have either of you posted a similar comment in any of techs' many Clinton spams? Why not?

It's a real plus for Obama to be endorsed by the Kennedy family. JFK is to the Democrats what Reagan is to Republicans. There will be a lot of Democrats reconsidering their support for Clinton or Edwards. They won't all jump ship, of course ... but some will.

Nope, I enjoy a laugh every morning too.

I won't deny it is big for Obama. We'll see what all these spoon-fed measures do for his candidacy though come Super Tuesday

He gave a comment, that's all that's required. But that wasn't your original criticism, you objected to the fact that he posted the thread in the first place.

I wouldn't have problem if there was something more than a comment to give me some food for thought. My first quote was sarcasm, if it flew above your head.

But back on topic, enlighten me on what the endorsement by both Kennedy's ultimately will do for Obama's candidacy?

It's anyones guess, but it shows a schism between the democratic establishment. Kennedy, probably the epitome of the old school liberal will inoculate Obama against charges that his rhetoric isn't liberal enough. And Kennedy probably appeals most to Obama's weakest demographic, older voters.

And even if none of that matters to the voters, it will matter to the media and get Obama much needed coverage in the run-up to the 5th. Not to mention the potential media storyline that Clinton is losing one of the keys to her base of support, the establishment vote.

Yes, it looks like the old school Dem establishment has dumped HRC and moved to Obama.

While I'm no Dem, and thus am on the "outside", I can't help but feel that is extremely significant.

Elsewhere someone opined that Obama looks like the future of the Dem party and bemoaned the Clinton's attacks upon him as harming the party's future etc. Looks like the Dem establishment might be feeling the same way.

Bill Clinton was not nearly as liberal as some say. I've sensed for some time, and have previously mentioned, that the old school appears to not like the Clintons. And some hard feelings seem to surface about the Clintons' hijacking the party control. I don't think the old school feels that Bill was liberal enough, I think they don't trust HRC (what ARE her positions?), and I don't think they approve of some of the Clinton's campaign tactics either. Listen closely to Chris Mathews, a former aide to Tip Oneil and "old school" himself.

What this tells you is the rest of the undecided amongst elected dems(aka superdelegates) should start breaking Obamas way.

Similar to how those who typically rush to defend the Kennedy legacy are now upset that he may endorse Obama, and cause the Clinton express to derail on a bridge in CT.

by all accounts, north east dems are annoyed with bill clinton.

I'm sure this annoyance will be forgotten when they need to beg him to help fund raising for them.
