Hannity is simply being deceptive by trying to flatter his viewers saying they are intelligent enough to tell the difference between news and opinion. For the conservative brain opinions they agree with are facts and Fox News would not exist if people could tell the difference. The reason it does exist is because there are millions of fools who can be manipulated by negative emotions to vote against their own interests and it is those whose interests are served when a majority of the people's interests are ignored that pay to up Fox News on the air. Fox news is a cancer that hides behind the first amendment. Our forefathers hoped that in the battle of ideas reason would ultimately win and that in the long haul it would be better to protect people from the dictatorial suppression of truth by insuring a right to speech. Unfortunately, that only works if the majority of people are unbiased and objective in their views, that they have received and appreciate the ideas spread by liberal education. Years of propaganda against liberal ideas have created a nation full of marching morons who can be made to believe anything. We have failed to live up to what so many died to give us. The reaction that will eventually happen, I guess, is that we will see the rise of an authoritarian left where only leftest propaganda will be spoken. Then all the psychos will migrate to the left.

"You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts."

Then Republicans copied us. I see them feeling all over the place. Feeling pretty foolish and scared and sweaty right 'bout now. All those feels, so little available to put their faith and loyalty in to what with a Crazy Kumquat Twat at the Helm. Feels feels go away, Stop picking on Trump, m'kay?

And to clarify my comment:

I'm not even talking about Trump constantly lying his ass off. I'm talking about Trump, Bannon, etc. trying to consolidate power in the White House without having any idea of how to actually run a country. No knowledge of the law, no knowledge of foreign policy, and no knowledge of how anything actually works. But because they have strong beliefs, they think they are right and correct. All of the rest of it is unimportant.

The first version of the Muslim ban was a perfect example of this. The most incompetently drafted and implemented EO that I can recall. But they felt strongly about it, so they wrote it up without even bothering to consult with any policy experts, DHS, or the State Department.

It's a common theme in a lot of Fox News' programming. "Liberals are telling you people will lose their insurance under the AHCA because they think you are stupid and they want to scare you! We know you're smart because you're watching Fox News, so we know that you know Obamacare is a disaster and in a death spiral!"

We sure as Hell didn't invent the mindless raving of a Trump rally. Or are you talking about different "feels"?

It still amazes me every time I see Trump gather up his supporters at his one of his rallies and watch them go berserk over every lie, half truth and falsehood he tosses at them. When I see those folks cheer Trump on I notice there's this fantasy-like aura that emanates from his events, and how a feeling of awe sweeps over me when I see how thoroughly propagandized and indoctrinated they are that they would still endear themselves to Trump even after all of the negatively tinged controversy he's embroiled himself in and the outright disruption of the governing of the nation he's caused simply from being himself.

Unpresidential is the kindest description of his behavior that I can think of. When he refused to shake Merkel's hand as a simple gesture of unity and mutual respect, that was it for me. The way he postured himself in that seat that was placed as far away from Merkel as possible reminded me of an obstinate child refusing to sit on his aunty's lap for a picture taking session. The look on his face was simply amazing to behold.

The "right" uses projection, hypocrisy, and ignorance as their sword, jewel, and mirror respectively. We've got some real bottom-feeding examples on this very site. I've long since given up trying to talk sense into them and am just waiting for them to drop dead and start frying...

lol this whole conversation and forum is based on ideology. Anyone taking Moon seriously needs their head examined.

Let's see what he left has created and what zombies follow.

Gender is fluid
Multiple genders is normal
Political correctness
Snowflakes
Marijuana states
Killing an unborn baby is normal
Government is your religion and feel good place to help people
Adults need to be on their Mommy and Daddy's insurance

Wow this list is going to continue. I'll just stop here as this conversation is boring already.

Were you trying to prove Koppel's point? I mean you just replied to his statement with an emotional/ideological rant.

I agree it's pretty funny but somehow I doubt it was your goal, haha. I mean what did you think you were doing when someone complained about people being too beholden to ideology and you responded with 'BUT LIBERALS ARE SPECIAL SNOWFLAKES!'

Whereas you need more nukes and a bigger army, removing regulations to maximize profit by dumping wastes in the environment- you know that thing people live in. Then there's deregulation to allow another financial collapse, yeah that's great.

You protest but offer swill as a return. Seems that your stone should remain uncast and you free yourself from the hatred of others and not love the ideas people tell you to think so much. "They" don't matter as much as you do in this case. You might do well to think on this, and it does not apply to either ideology.

Cut and pasted for your consideration.

"You are fettered," said Scrooge, trembling. "Tell me why?"
"I wear the chain I forged in life," replied the Ghost. "I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it. Is its pattern strange to you?"

Fettered by a lack of understanding of others is more than unfortunate. Oneself being shackled by their own free will is tragic.

To take one point in particular "Government as religion". That's not how things are perceived on the whole, but government has the answers. It is a superior entity and it is not, heavens I know that firsthand. But the free market as a solution? There is no nobility is sharks as predators. Trump has no virtue other than he is very good at destroying others to get what he wants. This "religion" should not stand either.

When faced with two inadequate choices find a third way and yes we can have improvements if people are willing to expand beyond their set ideologies.

For those trying to stick up for Fox News:

The channel claimed that Trump spent the weekend working at the White House. However, this is unquestionably a lie. As is usually the case, Trump spent much of the weekend golfing.

And the sad part? If he had been at the White House working, that should have been non-news. No past President has regularly traveled across the country every weekend to play golf and avoid Washington altogether.

If you actually believe most things Fox News says after this... well, I genuinely feel bad for you.

Fox News has been aids way before Trump ran for office, and it will always be aids because its focus is ratings, not news. Problem is, all the other major news outlets have join Fox News in the aids category because it is so easy to get ratings making fun of Trump.
