Joined the ATOT thread. Read the OP and the early responses. I only had a moment and saw a tiny part of the interview with the kid in his bedroom (linked in the OP of that thread). I thought the initial interview with the kid in his bedroom was HIGHLY dubious and said that you people need to have more cynicism. When I had a chance, I finished watching it and it was even more obvious. Pictures of the clock came out and I immediately identified it as a manufactured clock that had been transplanted. My assertions about the clock were ridiculed. I was repeatedly told that the kid did something none of us could have done. More and more details supporting my assertions appeared in these 2 threads.
I have not sought out to read anything about this story beyond clicking a link in these threads. The original story link, which was in the ATOT OP, was more than enough for me to conclude that this is another social media bullshit bandwagon incident...like so many others. I barely watched any of the original video before I reached that conclusion and posted about it. I was able to watch the rest of it later.

The scam theory is not quite as far fetched as the actual terrorists theory... but still pretty far fetched.
Or, that the family has a history of stunts.It's like that Breitbart writer doesn't even realize that this article will only make people think that the school has a repeated history of irrational and bigoted paranoia against this family.
The comments section there are really acting like they are actual terrorists who intend to detonate a bomb at the school. Which would make them awfully bad at it seeing as how the first person got caught telling someone she'd do it and the second one got caught with the "bomb" (that wasn't actually a bomb) by repeatedly showing it off.
The fact that all these people in the comments seem to have an irrational belief that they could be terrorists at least lends to the idea that the school and/or police also had such an irrational prejudice.
