Because the 2 situations were exactly the same, right? One kid brings his clock to school, shows it to a teacher and then puts it back in his pack while these two :

"Shannon Farrell and La'Kia Hill, students at South Iredell High School in North Carolina, said they only meant to alarm students by putting two ringing clocks in an unused locker and having them go off at two different times."

Buncha truly desperate clowns terrified of a 14 year old kid.

"Afraid of a clock! LOL! A CLOCK!"

Some have said that he showed it to multiple teachers until he got a reaction. I'm going to keep considering that possibility because I have no reason to believe one statement over the other.

Let's ignore the fact that it couldn't be a more convincing IED to the layperson unless you wrote "BOMB!" on it. Let's ignore the fact that the kid lied and misrepresented what it was, then acted evasive when police questioned him.

Let's ignore all that. Did these girls immediately admit that it was a senior prank? Did they shove the bare guts of their alarm clocks in the lockers and wrap black wires around the locker latches "so it wouldn't look threatening?"

You know, in their case, the school was evacuated and the bomb squad was called. You know that, right? Were they Muslims?

I'm sorry you're mistaking me with your own reflection. I didn't need anyone to tell me that I had to question this story and to realize that this was a BULLSHIT story that was more than likely created by someone (this kid's family) looking to push an agenda.

Of course you did. That's why you and the rest of the collective all came up with the exact same arguments from the same websites at the same time.

Why are you so frightened of a 14 year old kid?

Sorry. From the very start, without reading anything beyond the original local news story with the bedroom interview, I applied my own logic and expertise with a healthy dose of skepticism and pointed out lies and inconsistencies (and was vehemently attacked for it). I expect all intelligent people to do the same.

I expect too much.

It's really quite simple, I don't believe you.

Guys, I think we broke Victorian Gray. He's just rocking back and forth and repeating the same phrase.

Afraid a 14 year old

Afraid a clock

That is a well known prank... When I was in High School we'd collectively bring dozens of them to school and put them in the unassigned lockers... To be assholes we would put our own padlocks on them. Picture about 30+ alarm clocks going off randomly all day long and the janitors/maintenance guys having to cut the locks to silence them.

I remember similar incidents in my days in public school (back before the dinosaurs). By the time I hit high school we had a couple or so bomb threats every year. It always happened on nice spring or autumn days and late enough in the afternoon that we could just ah heck off.

Are you stating that you believe that the 2 situation were exactly the same?

I'm saying they're close enough to draw the conclusion that bringing a device to school that looks like a bomb will get any kid arrested, regardless of their race or religion.

If you refuse to acknowledge that, it's simply pointing out how unreasonable you are, and that you're more interested in maintaining a phony narrative to support your political beliefs than to actually look at the facts.

If by far-fetched you mean obvious.

If that is indeed the case then they hit this one out of the park and will almost surely greatly profit from the absurd overreaction of the school and police. High 6 figures at the very least in my opinion to help them further any other "goals" you might think that they have.

We are talking freaking brilliant here, assuming you're correct of course.

There's no other plausible explanation. And it's not that brilliant. The response was almost guaranteed.

What would be more interesting would be for you to have an original thought of your own rather rather than simply slinging the talking points you've been told to promote.

Boo! Scary 14 year kid!!!!

says the person that's does nothing but putting out the liberal talking points.

I'd have been impressed if a high school kid built a true clock from scratch, or at least from something like this:

No... tearing the casing off your bedroom alarm clock and rearranging the parts in another case is not an impressive feat to be bragging on TV about.

I'm with those who smell something fishy about the whole thing.

This is not to say who was right or wrong in their actions - that's been discussed to death and I have no firm opinion on it yet because there's too little evidence to go on.

It sounds like teachers told him to put it away but he didn't - AND wouldn't shut up about it, showing & telling at will. In that sense, he certainly called attention to himself - something an activist would do.

A) his clock does not look like a bomb

B) his clock does not look like a bomb

C) his clock does not look like a bomb

D) We know, by their own admission, that the 2 girls intended to create a ruckus and disturb the school. I have yet to see any credible information that points to the boy wanting to do the same in his school. If he did intend that then explain, for example, the purpose of showing the clock to his teacher at the beginning of the school day?

What you've got is a whole mess of people doing their damnedest to demonize this kid and his family with a concerted propaganda effort. If you're comfortable joining in with the collective in this effort, go right ahead. The Borg can always use a new recruit.

Except he didn't put it back in his backpack. In fact set an alarm so that it could go off in during the middle of his English class after being told by his English teacher (and several other teachers in other periods) to put the damn thing away.

Wait, the English teacher saw the "bomb", told him to put his "bomb" away and only called it to the attention of others after the "bombs" alarm went off (if we are going by movie bullshit that would have meant KABOOM)?

Before you get your panties in a wad I think this has far less to do with race then it has to do with the "zero tolerance" bullshit.
