I don't mind my girlfriend showing some skin, but it should be reserved for special occasions like evenings out, not the jaunt to the mall or sitting in class. Even then, boobs hanging out and other parts hanging out from other areas just isn't prudent. I would actually say that the modesty of a elegent, if revealing, dress is twice as sexy as any skin-tight, shiny low-cut, v-neck tank.

As a mid-twenties guy, among the top problems I have in finding good girlfriends is that so many of the girls I meet have a total lack of respect for their bodies and themselves. They use sex and the attraction of guys as surrogates for self-confidence and self-esteem.

Call it peculiar, but this exact notion meresults in my attraction being instead devoted towards women 5-10 years my senior. It seems that women in their thirties are more likely to have given up the slutty, give-me-attention-now look.

I think there's a larger problem showing itself here. I really believe that this is a bad trend and it's only getting younger and younger. You go to middle school and even elementary school and children are dressing sluttier and sluttier. I can't believe what I children wearing now.

Blame convenience, clothing manufacturers, the internet, whatever. It's a problem for both women trying to empower themselves in society (being delayed by the restrictions imposed on themselves by lack of confidence and the expectations of men they deal with). I'm in no way a feminist, but I do believe in equality for the sexes (and many other types) But until we consider the underlying reasons behind these social responses, we can't hope to fix or mitigate the behavior itself and that which propegates it.

So what you're trying to say is, you're gay.

First off, for the equality of the sexes, this comment really annoys the sh~t out of me. Look, there has NEVER been equality, and there never WILL BE equality. Why? men and women are different. You can't have equality between things that are different. Period. Apples and oranges can't be equal no matter what you try to do with them. Now, that's for SEXES, not other things. There is such a term as equally capable when it comes to jobs and such, which is a FACET that different objects can share the same quality or perhaps more then one. An apple and an orange are both fruits for example. They are both equal in the fact they are fruit and they have seeds and any other facets that are the same. Beyond that, there are too many differences to make an apple equal to an orange and vice versa. Same thing goes for men and women.

Look, if women want to dress this way. Fine. Don't sweat what others want to do and try to force YOUR VIEWS on them. That's the biggest sin of a free society when you try to make someone else do something you want them do. Yah, we technically aren't a free society because he do have rules of conduct, like not stealing, killing, blah blah blah which are enforced so we can live with each other in a society. Beyond that, telling someone what they should or should not wear is overstepping the grounds of collective rules for a society.

I also want to point out something for the older males. 16 IS LEGAL BY FEDERAL LAW, you numbskulls. It's the legal MINIMUM age, but then states are free to use a higher age if they want, just not lower then 16. The majority of states make the age of consent at 16 with a few exceptions using 17 or 18 as the min. Frikking eh.

To the OP... if you don't like the way slutty girls dress... then guess what? DO NOT LOOK AT THEM. Simple as pie. Express YOUR opinion of what interests you by finding a girl that doesn't dress with what you deem a whore. Oh... and don't go making up stupid, third-rate, psycho analyst bullsh~t about why women dress the way they do. Just because a girl wants to wear a low-cut shirt doesn't mean she has self-esteem issues or is an attention whore. Many are in fact dressing that way for those reasons, but there is only ONE rule that has no exception...."There is an exception to every other rule."

Also, be aware that many young women don't dress like this for guys. Although many do. Many young women dress like this for OTHER WOMEN. No, I'm not talking about lesbos. I'm talking on an anthropological scale of fitting into a female heiarchy of peers. Usually one of the more popular and "lead" females dress like this and the others follow suit as a natural animalistic instinct. That is the way it's always been and which is why role-models are a big factor in human, in fact in any animal, development. Right now, the female role models for young women are pornstars, rockstars, movie stars, and playboy playmates. I'm serious. Women want to be successful in life too just like men and all they see day in and day out for a successful female in our society are women dressing and acting as you call whores.

Which means, no amount of ranting and raving on ATOT boards is going to change this society trend. So what do I suggest? Deal with it. Either enjoy it and take pictures or turn in your damn man card!

If any of you have teenage girls you really should teach them some f-ing respect for their bodies. Now I'm a teenage guy (15 tomorrow) and I go to high-school and almost every girl I see is dressed like a hore WTF. I'm talking tight looow cut tops and skirts that are 5 inches long. And its not just the cloths its how they act, for example yesterday I saw a girl in my class wearing a mini-skirt turn my direction and put her foot up on a chair to write something down on her knee with her legs 6 inches apart allowing me a great view of her underwear (a pink thong). I don't think that she even realized it, but subconciusly she diden't stop from doing it. And its not just the girls whos parents don't care or arnt aware of it, one of the sluttiest girls in my grade is the daughter of one of the local pastors. Are you telling me that that dude doesen't care his daughter is the village bicicle. Express you opinions.

I feel sorry for a lot of teenagers in today's age. Most of them are competing with Madison Avenue and porn stars.

Society IS going downhill, but what will ranting about it do? Just enjoy it while you can, but its not such a bad sight and there's no changing it.

16 is a prime age though. A girl's ass will never be tighter, her tits will never be higher, and she will never be more prime for the banging. Sighhh, if I knew at 16 what I know at 20. I would bang allllll the chicks I never thought I had a chance with in high school.

Perhaps your friend needs to run off to Afghanistan and join the Taliban.

that, and he's never been out on a Cougar night...

Oh, I bet he's part of PETA too, and has the hots for the local chapter's trendy, dreadlocked ragamuffin, who joined PETA because she couldn't bear the thought of eating meat, yet still has time to drive a honkin SUV, and uses styrofoam...

or something..

To be honest, I don't enjoy it, either. But I certainly don't go out of my way to complain about it. If it's convenient to a debate, sure.

Doesn't happen in my school... decent enough dress code - no exposed stomach, no exposed underwear, no spaghetti straps, no plunging necklines. Reason: it's too distracting to you pimply-faced 15 year olds with hormones running rampant. We have very few problems with the dress code, and no complaints afaik from any parents. Over the years, we've experienced very few problems with guy's choice of attire... usually beer advertisements, sexually suggestive things - we just have them wear their shirt inside out or go home and change.

I don't deny that I like looking at a girl who shows off, but it's not a thrill if everyone does it. In the long run its better for a girl to leave something to the imagination

But I think people need to realize that girls are just as horny as guys and are going to try to get attention and some action. Maybe you don't like this idea, but we aren't puritans, are we?
