I know plenty at my school like that Then agian, the entering freshman clearly had a slutfest because practically every decent looking girl is wearing tons of makeup and slutty clothing (the middle school clearly did a poor job and now they're going nutz). I remember being in middle school, how they were so anal, I got in trouble so many times. I think I accumulated about 45 hours of friday schools there, had about 9 hours of friday schools before I had a detention. Got suspended for 3 days for saying Sh!t in science, just such a screwed up school.

When I got to HS, I didn't magically change, it was the school that was different, for the better. Didn't even get a dentention in HS, friday school, suspension, nothing.

I realized recently that I'm getting older, and the way I knew this is that teenage girls don't even acknowledge me as a sexual being anymore. They can do whatever they want, who cares. But if they think they're doing themselves any favors they're sh|tting themselves. While you guys maybe awfully hard on a kid who doesn't like women showing off in inappropriate venues, I for one completely agree. I'm 25 and have had many girlfriends, and a prerequisite for all of which was that they dressed in a way that showed some respect for themselves. I don't mind my girlfriend showing some skin, but it should be reserved for special occasions like evenings out, not the jaunt to the mall or sitting in class. Even then, boobs hanging out and other parts hanging out from other areas just isn't prudent. I would actually say that the modesty of a elegent, if revealing, dress is twice as sexy as any skin-tight, shiny low-cut, v-neck tank.

As a mid-twenties guy, among the top problems I have in finding good girlfriends is that so many of the girls I meet have a total lack of respect for their bodies and themselves. They use sex and the attraction of guys as surrogates for self-confidence and self-esteem.

Call it peculiar, but this exact notion meresults in my attraction being instead devoted towards women 5-10 years my senior. It seems that women in their thirties are more likely to have given up the slutty, give-me-attention-now look.

I think there's a larger problem showing itself here. I really believe that this is a bad trend and it's only getting younger and younger. You go to middle school and even elementary school and children are dressing sluttier and sluttier. I can't believe what I children wearing now.

Blame convenience, clothing manufacturers, the internet, whatever. It's a problem for both women trying to empower themselves in society (being delayed by the restrictions imposed on themselves by lack of confidence and the expectations of men they deal with). I'm in no way a feminist, but I do believe in equality for the sexes (and many other types) But until we consider the underlying reasons behind these social responses, we can't hope to fix or mitigate the behavior itself and that which propegates it.
