You've made his point for him. Kids at high school parties don't tend to be the most responsible drinkers. There are laws against them drinking because of that. If he is the reason they get caught, well don't blame him, it's their position to be responsible for their actions, and the law's responsibility to attempt to prevent them from killing themselves at an age where they are NOT fully responsible, legally.

I will reply when I get back from class.

i've been to some, but not of enormous size, usually under 50 people. and, none of the parties had any dancing/making out, much to my dismay.

and regarding the booze, most of us try to resemble responsible teenagers, so usually there was none.

I haven't been to a real party since I was in like 4th grade.

Edit:
Before you even say it, yes I am a loser.

My friend lived in an apartment, and second semester senior year, his mom went to South Korea for three months and left him home alone (he was 18). We had about one of those parties every week.

It was sweet - no one died, and the apartment under him was vacant, so no noise violations. Those were the days.

EDIT: I only drank at one of them. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I'd like to do a lot of. I'm convinced that moderation is the key.

We had a lot of new streets that were just made waiting for houses when I was in High School. Friday nights everyone would just start filling them up and turn it into a big street party. Nobody ever messed with us because it was out in the boonies back then, but then came Sawgrass and the houses were built and our party streets were gone

Ours was the same. I did a flyer for one once. I was surprised with all the flyers we had floating around that we didn't get busted.

Jerks. Always having parties in our hayfields. Leaving beer cans/cups everywhere. Driving on our crops. Jerks.

No. When I was in high school I went to physics and calculus parties. Those were great. We'd sit around the table doing problem sets, and someone's mom would bring us snacks... I miss those days.

You'll never get those years back... and laughing at the 'losers' will never make up for your lack of friends.

excellent point.

Not in HS, but plenty in college. The largest house party was probably 50 people but usually we just sit around in residence and get thoroughly trashed and/or hit up the school pub.

hehe...

I actually feel very old a lot of the time. Like, if I was to catch something and be on my deathbed, it wouldn't feel like I was dying too young

Had one at my placefor my 18th birthday... 100+ people all in the garden, Professional Beer Cooler from a bar (75 litres of beer gulped), 2 Grills churning out spare-ribs and chickenwings almost non-stop, short visit from the cops but all they wanted was that we to turn the music down (understandable, it was 3am), last folks left at 5:45. One couple made out in a car in the parking lot next door.
That was a cool party but I wouldn't want to do it again.

Last year we did a new-years party and a summer party at friends house, also a lot of people with alot of booze, followed by trouble with the neighbours for weeks after the new-years do (in a drunk/bored state we decided it would be a neat idea to use a video-beamer to projekt some dled videos on to the neighboring house: IceAge trailer, pixar short films and ultimately: pr0n -was a hell of a hoot while it lasted- )

Ok. Paige, I have a question for you. How many high school parties/college parties have you been to that had alcohol? Out of those how many people go ill and died?

The law is the law and if you break it you have to face the consequences. When someone is doing something that only harms themself(i.e. drinking, smoking pot, etc) in their OWN home why does someone feel the need to be nosy or call the cops on them? If there is noise, people being loud, people drinking outside, people bothering you, or behavior you do not want in YOUR neighborhood then by all means call the cops. If you see drunks driving then call the cops. If you just call the cops because you THINK there is underage drinking there you are being a dick. Fortunately for most here that choose to imbibe alcohol in their own private residence, it is not illegal in most states to do so underage. In public for the most part it is always illegal. Most states such as mine do not attempt to make underage drinking in a private residence illegal.

I do 98% of my drinking at home or at a friends house. The other 2% comes on the rare occasion that I drink at the bowling alley or at a particular restaurant that I know the owner of. People who drink irresponsibly are going to do it regardless of age. People who drink irresponsibly tend to be irresponsible in general.

Nope i have never ever been to a party. I would call the police though. It would make my day. I could care a less that i can never get my high school days back either because i hated high school and want to forget it forever. When i am 60 + that will be the best time in my opinion.

Why ruin others' fun? You said you've never been to a party, yet you'd rat those kids out? If they're not bothering you, then don't be a nusiance.

The best time of your life will be when you're 60+? When arthritis is taking its toll and you've got erectile dysfunction? Nope, sorry, imtim83. You're simply wrong. You're in the prime of your life right now. Get out, take a walk or go for a run. Play some sports and make some friends. People like you make me sad. Take advantage of all the opportunities that life presents!

My friends and I used to have mostly small parties when we here in HS. Mainly 4th of July, Halloween, New Years, Valentines Day, holidays like that. Usually 10-30 people and most of the time no alcohol (depended on who's house it was at). Even if there was alcohol, no-one who drank was allowed to drive and no-one who was drunk enough to get sick was allowed to leave until the next day.

Myself and a couple of the other guys NEVER drank at any of our parties while we were in HS, but we didn't stop those who wanted to so long as they didn't get stupid on us. Only had the cops show up once (when we had a local punk band play on Valentines Day) Compared to some of the parties we heard about while we were in HS we were pretty tame, but we always had a good time.

Kinda makes me wish I could relive some of those days.
