just turned 19 ... I'm a senior web developer at a local ISP and I do Teir 2 support at Gateway during nights. Lots of money [all for college], no social life [right now]. I would really like to start up my own web.dev company, but time escapes me.
12-13: I picked berries for $45 a week
14: I worked in the computer lab at the college I was attending, $7.00 an hour
15, summer: I bagged groceries for $5.75 an hour
15 school: I worked in the Audio/Visual department at the college, producing both public & internal web pages $7.00 an hour
16-17: I worked overnight at Target unloading trucks & stocking shelves, $7.50 an hour
17-present: Tech support for Qwest DSL, started at $11.05 an hour, when I hit two years in December I should be at $13.40 or so. With the OT I should make between $31,000 and $32,000 this year.
I'm 16, and I just started working RadioShack, making minimum wage, woohoo! Before that, I worked at Subway for $6.50. I get commission though at RadioShack, so everyone come in and buy from me so I can make money.
I'm a salesperson at one of my dad's stores. Spot work, really, especially since school started. I'm only full time during the summers.
EDIT: How many of you are there ViperGTS? I'm guessing 3, because it takes about 10-15 minutes for my call to get through to a live person whenever I call Qwest.
16, I work at a place that supplies industrial products to industries in the area (drills and crap). Minimum wage but my job is so easy. Get to do deliveries, type orders in on the comp, sit around, do nothing, and that's pretty much it.
right now i'm in classes so i work part-time in the mail room, 7.50 or something like that i don't really know, during the summers is when i make my money, i work for a tile company and i'm part of a union $20 an hour, not bad, all i know is that if i can't get a good job out of college i can be a mechanic for the union and make $1500 a week
Bah, when I was a 'teen, I worked "on the street corner", with my one-liner, "Looking for a good time?"....uphill both ways, rain, sleet, and snow, tornadoes and earthquakes didn't bother ME, and I LIKED IT!
i work at a golf course. i'm one of the cart guys, I get minimum wage, but I also get free golf, so its lke having a membership which would cost more by itself than what I would make working there. Its a great job because you get to be outdoors all the time, and you drive gold carts around a lot. I plan to keep this job through december or so, so that I can get a PE credit for playing golf, then i will move on to either another job, or not working at all.
