I know plenty of asians who i grew up with as a kid who did get spanked and still ended up being bad people. Don't think "spare the rod, spoil the child" means "spank your kid to success". I'm sure it took more then simply spanking your kid to make them decent people.

Regarding the first part of your post:

People cook and eat live animals all the time. It's just the cultural attachments people have with dogs that makes this seem any more heinous. If you've ever eaten a lobster, most of the time it's cooked while it's still alive.

Regarding part two:

Well yea, I'm not saying spanking will always do the trick but from my experience, it's part of the regiment to keep younger kids under control. Every one of my friends look back to times when we got spanked and we pretty much agree that it was for the best from the way we acted. That, alongside instilling strong values in us, is probably what kept us out of trouble.

Yeah and with CA wanting to pass the no spanking laws wtf you think is going to happen to the children? Tell you what if all my mother did was keep say stop it or no to me and not take the wooden spoon across my ass a time or two when I decided to see how far I could push her till the spoon came out, I would of turned into one hell of a thug. Parents need to be able to spank their child without the law steeping in. The law needs to step in when the parent goes to far and uses a fist or smack other parts other then the ass. But to pass a law where the part cant do much more then say stop or no to a child, whats really going to make that child listen?

Now where's the dog so I can kill it since all dad can tell me is stop it, and that was wrong, and send me to my room. I will tell him to go fvck off, what is he going to do, just tell me to go to my room again while I tell him to go fvck off again. Or I better stop or dads going to smack my ass and its going to hurt for what Im doing is wrong.

I highly doubt that. I think it's more likely they were raised by parents who occasionally beat the sh!t out of them, but were otherwise absent/uninvolved.
