Teens at movie theaters these days...

So I went to see Terminator Salvation finally last night.

I noticed that many of the teenagers who sat way up front spent most of the movie not actually watching the movie but leaving the theater and coming back constantly. (Some of the kids sat there normally).

This has been the case the last few times I've gone to the movies.

Why bother paying for a movie if you're just gonna run around the whole time? What is so exciting about the bathroom area?

I've noticed mexicans do this alot too.

Is there something about being worthless that makes people do this?

Umm where have you been??? This is one of the reasons why I hate going to the movies. The experience sucks. Babies crying, people talking, cellphones going off, people laughing at the serious parts and crying at the funny parts. It's not worth paying $10+ to go see a movie any more.

Devils Advocate, but perhaps those teens would rather answer their cell phones outside of the theatre instead of right in the middle of the audience. I tell myself that so that I can feel that not all tact has been lost on today's youth.

Otherwise, I also enjoy going to the earliest screenings possible because it keeps my blood pressure lower.

I just stopped going to the first weekend showing, or Friday evenings. It usually isn't teenagers though. It's adults or 20 year old college kids with their cellphones, who just have to call someone back or text them during the movie, constantly checking their phones. Yes, I notice it, and it is distracting; not to the point of be wanting to club you, but I will silently mumble "turn your f*cking phone off or get the hell out". Most do infact leave quietly, so thank you.

Love matinee showings. About 10 people in the theatre, and no huge groups. Usually adults too.

If this is the case, then it's an excellent sign. Teens may be becoming more aware of cell phone etiquette as the technology matures. This would make sense, in my opinion.

Friday and Saturday nights are terrible. You get tons of 12-16 year old kids which can be annoying sometimes.

I am confused. How did you notice this when your head was buried in the lap of the dude next to you the entire movie?

i agree. i do my best to go on off times. such as ealry in the day during the week or such.

i used to go tot he movies a LOT. i just don't think its worth it to go pay $10 a person and have to put up with all teh crap. now then i can spend $16 and watch it at home and it look almost as good without the bullshit
