After thinking about how Peet's wasn't available to me in Louisiana when I was over there a few months back, I had to settle for Dunkin Donuts. It was shockingly good. Just avoid flavored ones. If you like French Vanilla or something, get creamer.

light roast has the most caffeine and antioxidants:Coffee provides more than just a morning jolt; that steaming cup of java is also the number one source of antioxidants in the U.S. diet, according to a new study by researchers at the University of Scranton (Pa.). Their study was described today at the 230th national meeting of the American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific society. http://www.physorg.com/news6067.html

dark roast is high in Acrylamide.

The linked one is 1.5 liter. How is that not > than the 1 liter you linked?

sorry nyquill is kicking in...damn cold

I think they have one that's even bigger than that 1.5 liter. I saw it on the shelf at my local coffee roaster. It was the same price as the one I linked. That thing had to be close to 2L in size.

I get my beans from a local coffee shop down the block. I usually stick to the light or medium blends. I have them grind the beans and I store them in a airtight ceramic in the kitchen. I use a Bunn Auto drip and I think it makes pretty damn good coffee.

I do want to get my own grinder and a french press though...

Tim Horton's coarse grind in the french press. I haven't found anything as good for an economical brew. I'll agree about the blue mountain. But it's pricey.

Yes. It's acidic, and on top of that it contains caffeine. Recipe for increased... uh... "output".

depends...maybe if you are a total coffee n00b and take a giant dose.
otherwise it doesn't do that to regular drinkers.

Best coffee I've ever had is Blue Mountain (from the Blue Mountains in Jamaica). It was so good that I brought like 10 lbs of it home with me when I was there for spring break about 5 years ago. But it's expensive in the states...I don't know where you can get it or how much it is to buy the grounds, but I know that it's usually $10+ per cup at specialty coffee shops.

Best coffee i have ever tasted, Blue Mountain

Dunkin' Donuts is pretty good. I don't buy coffee there anymore because it's a little expensive (versus cheap store or street vendor coffee) in NYC to drink all the time.
