Tell me if this puzzle-question makes sense

There was an accident involving four cars, the front car being car one and the rear car being car four. Xian was directly behind the yellow car. Kyle's car was positioned directly between Xian and Joe. Kyle was in a black car. The fourth vehicle in the accident was a blue Cavalier. The only other car was a red Honda and the only other driver was Jenny.

1. What were the orders of the drivers from one to four?
2. Who was driving the red Honda?
3. What colour vehicle was Jenny driving?

I've got the apparent answers, but they don't make sense to me. I want to see if you guys can figure it out and arrive at the correct answer.

Xian had to be the second car because no other position would allow him to be behind a car AND Kyle to be between Xian and another car. The rest falls into place.

The only thing that I don't get is how you know that the 2nd car is Xion and not Joe. From what I can tell, the question only states that Kyle is between Xian and Joe, but doesn't ever state that Xian is in front of Joe.

Because Xian can't be behind Kyle because Xian was behind a yellow car and Kyle was driving a black car.

True... but it does say that Xian was behind the yellow car. It goes on to say Kyle was in a black car, and was either in front of or behind Xian. Since Kyle's car is black and not yellow, Kyle must have been behind Xian. Hence, Joe must be behind Xian as well, and hence is right behind Kyle.

Xian was directly behind the yellow car. This means that the yellow car can be either 1, 2, or 3.

Kyle's car was between Xian's and Joe. Kyles car is black!

Ah ha! So Kyle must be behind Xian since Xian is behind a yellow. So with the following info - Xian MUST be in position two as that is the only way he can be behind a yellow car, and a black car behind him be able to be between him and another car.

Okay so here is what we have:

1 - Yellow Car
2 - Xian
3 - Kyle - Black
4 - Joe

Now move on. The 4th car is a blue cavalier.

1 - Yellow Car
2 - Xian
3 - Kyle - Black
4 - Joe - Blue Cavalier

Next info - The only other car was a red honda and the only other driver is jenny. Since we know that Xian is in #2 and #1 is yellow, Jenny must be driving the yellow car and Xian must be driving the red honda. So:
