Tell me what to get

I've got about ?400 to spend, and I have to have the following things out of this money:
-Motherboard (AGP)
-Processor (AMD64)
-Memory (Value RAM that OC's nice)
-Power supply
-Enough money left over for me to pick a nice case
-Proper cooling for processor

Anyone know anything? Shipping and handling have to be paid out of this, too. US prices are pretty comparable to EU's. I'll post what it'll cost me.

Get a sckt 754 A64 or a sempron and oc the piss out of it...Should be able to get a cpu for under 100 and a mobo for 80 or less.....If you ony need 512mb get one stock of good pc3200 stuff for well under 100...I would get a nice 380-400watt PSU..more if you plan to OC....

I think that leaves you room for a cse and HSF....

I was planning on 1 GB of RAM, and S939, since I might be able to get a cheap X2 from a friend of mine in a year or so.

OK that changes a few things...sorry....That is going to be tough and the power supply for a future X2 will bight into that as well....May want to buy some used stuff inthe for/sale forum....

Do you have a pci-e card cause you likley are going to NF4, right???

Nope, I recently bought myself a Club-3D ATi Radeon 9600 Pro 256 MB. What a pisspoor way of spending money. I might upgrade the powersupply later, but it's got to suffice now for a hell-like overclock. I can't buy anything from these forums since I live in The Netherlands, not in the USA. I saw a Q-Tec triple fan Action 650W powersupply for ?33,95. Is that something?

Does anybody know if the Epox NF3 U supports X2??? That is the cheapest NF3 mobo that I can think of that overclocks very nicely....

Obvioulsy a 150 dollar venice is waht you are looking at right???

I have the EPoX 9NDA3+. It is a great board and OCs very well (it can do over 3300 HTT). It runs for around $100 nowadays, but you may be able to find one in FS/FT or on ebay. I was actually thinking of selling mine at some point... I do not know if it has a new bios that supports the X2s, however.

EPoX 9NDA3+: $100
venice 3000+: $150
Corsair value 512: $40
That leaves you a little over $100 for a case, PSU, and heatsink.

I recommend an Antec Sonata with a 30W PSU for ~$70. It should be able to run that system and OC a bit, especially with ony a 9600... You may need to upgrade it later on however...

That will leave you room for an xp90 and an L1A. Look at jabtech.com, they seem to have bvery low rices on heatsinks and such. You should be able to get one under $35 with fan...
