Apparently my beliefs and actions are considered outside of the "norm", according to this thread and this thread.

So, to consolidate things into a more simple state, I'll create this thread for y'all to tell me and to try and discover WTF is wrong with me. Maybe you can make me a believer...

I mean, if you didnt like his music/lifestyle, then thats fine, you can say that you hated him and his music.....but saying that he was a worthless Junkie, and bashing him sort of contradicts what you said in the other thread.......

Seriously though, you just have different views from everyone, and that's fine as long as it doesn't bother you. Personally, (relating to the wife cheating thing) I wouldn't be able to handle it. I'd have felt like she broke her commitment to me, reguardless of if there was emmotions. That's part of, at least IMO, of the promise you make to eachother, unless you're in a relationship where you both don't care. There are just too many outside risks that that brings up -- pregnancies, disease, emmotions for others... Why subject yourself to that if you are happy where you are?

You have a different sort of arrangement in your marriage than the majority of posters here do. Naturally you may come under fire for putting forth your point of view but there's nothing wrong with it if it works for YOU.

I thought you were 50/50 correct with what you said in justin's thread. Don't leap to sign divorce papers, talk it out some. Why did she allow what she did, why did she tell him at all, etc. But with no prior agreement that that sort of inimate touching was okay, that was very wrong of her.

We're all hypocrites to some degree, you just happened to make your own case of it extremely clear. And yeah those Kobain worshippers need to get over themselves. Revolution of music? No. Amazing performer? No. Cult of personalities for the sake of having a cult is pretty annoying.

I don't think there is anything wrong with you.... you and your wife decided on your marital expectations together... they maybe different from mine but they work for you.

Although I dont think for a moment that my husband loves me less than you love your wife because he expects me to be faithful, its just what he believes.

Most of all I respect your honesty... your wife has a choice because you were honest with her and vice versa...sure beats being married to someone who is whispering sweet nothings in your ear about how you are the only one blah blah and then they run around trying to get a leg over everything that has a pulse.

I actually commend you, because you are truthful to yourself and others as far as that goes. Your values are a product of your environment, you chose what you liked and didn't like based on experience, and now it's what your character is based on.
