If only MS would fix the damned DPI settings to where they no longer break apps... it's been (over?) 15 years now.
Why the eff didn't Vista support vector fonts and objects? If they were going to go all hardware-accelerated, they should have done it RIGHT.

so he can change the DPI and fonts to huge, still doesn't mean he has to put up with non-native res.

Some people just don't have as sharp vision as others, and others just don't like fooling with fonts in every program to adapt them to a readable size for the monitor. I've seen this plenty of times where I work; I'll setup a nice monitor (18 to 20") and get everything all nice looking, setup clear type, then their immediate complaint is everything is too small. Then I go adjust the font size on various things and they complain the borders are too small, etc.. Finally I just end up switching the resolution to 1024 x 768 to make them happy, even though it looks like crap.
