will the cpu and board temps be affected if i have no exhaust fans? my pc seems so hot with a temp of 51C after a few hours or even idle sometimes. i have a volcano 7, xp1700+, some as2 applied and an ecs k7vta3 mobo. also, do anyone of you know where i'm supposed to plug a yellow wire into my mobo to detect rpm speeds? i can't seem to figure out the spot to connect it.

The yellow wire plugs into the 3 pin connector labeled FAN that is located next to the CPU near the edge of the mainboard.

Your CPUs Heatsink-Fan (HSF) removes the heat from the CPU. That heat will sit and build-up in your case if you don't get it out of there. That is the function of an exhaust fan. Your PowerSupply has an exhaust fan that will remove a small amount of heat from your case, but you really do need at least one exhaust fan.

What kind of case do you have? Even cheap cases have provisions for at least one exhaust fan. Usually right below the PS. 51C is very, very hot for a case temp. If your case temp is 51C, I'd bet you CPU temps are in the mid-to-upper 60'sC. Get an exhaust fan, pronto.

That's a nice case. I know it's got the mounting spot for an exhaust fan. Get one and you'll see both you case AND your CPU temps drop a bit. Good luck.

damn, I suck. I have a thermaltake volcano 5 on the cpu, a fan on the front sucking air in, and a huge fan in the back pushing it out, and my cpu temp is still 44*

ESC! sup dude? just bought my new pc. Anyway, the enlight has 1 80mm fan in front for the intake and 1 80mm fan below the PSU for exhaust. try adding fans in those places to try to bring down your temps. They cost around 40 Php. Also, check that your PSU sucks air out from the case. Might seem stupid but had a few old PSU that worked that way.

Forget the last sentence. 4got it was an enlight 7237 for a while.
