temp monitor software?

To those kind people out there who answer questions,

All over this forum, I see people talking about idle and load temps.
Well, I can only monitor temps from the bios.

Are you running software to monitor temps from Windows and/or Linux?

Can you point me to such software for either operating system?

What do you then run to create a "full load?"

You could also get DigiDoc5 if you want some hardware to monitor your temps and fan speeds and everything else instead of having a little display on your systray...of course it costs somewhere&amp;nbsp;around $70, but it's a cool little toy to have.

Enjoy it tho...if you wanna do a full load either run Prime95, Seti&amp;nbsp;or do a 1000-frag single-player game in Quake III..rack up your stats nice and quick.

I like CPUcool - It not only monitors temp, it lets you adjust fsb and also cools better than my W2k idle program - With Windows 2000 on my 8K7A it would sit at 43c idle. With CPU cool running it sits at 33c idle at 1529 Mhz default voltage. With an Alpha PAL6035 and stock 27cfm fan.

Im have to give that program a shot, my athlon 1.2 idles around 50C and full load it goes up to 57C. Its pretty scary, i dont want to fry it

Any tips on how to use that program efficiently?
