temp numbers NF7-S

1st. pc info ..
- Barton 2500 @ 3200 - 200 x 11
- NF7-S REV2
- SLK 800A + 80mm Panaflo L1A
- Radeon 9700 Pro Stock
- Antec Sonata Case
- 4 hdds.

When i first built this rig, i left the fan for the heatsink blow air AWAY from the heatsink.
avg CPU temp was 45idle / 52 MAX load --- 28idle / 32 load for system

those were the temps today and then i switched the fan so it blows air onto the heatsink.
temps are 40 idle / 49 load --- 30 idle / 35 load ..

im not worried and im sure temps for the abit are off but i was just wondering .. the system temps are ambient case temps? what temp does it read? why would it raise after i inverted the cpu fan?

the systemp temp sensor is probably sitting somewhere near the cpu... thus when you made the fan blow towards the heatsink... hot air is probably hitting the said temp sensor. i wouldnt worry about it.

im happy that my cpu temps went down. i might try a higher multiplier now. 11.5 x 200 wouldn't be so bad. dunno how much of a differnce i'd see from 2200 and 2300.

my brother has a 2500+ too... hes at 2.2 10.5x210...

You guys are lucky! I was at 10.5x200 and it posted fine. I tired 11x200 with 1.7v and windows loads, but just before the login screen, it reboots. I restored the original settings again and i still get the reboot. I tried it back at 10.5x200 and the stock 2500+ speeds. Any ideas??? (i need windowssss!)

should prolly clear your cmos.

if that doesn't work .. you might have corrupted your windows.

always make a backup of your system before you even oc.
