Temperatures are really high this winter.

I just went out shopping. All the shops have the heat on to maximum while it is at least 15C (59F) outside. I am on the point of melting with my winter coat on.

The birds are whistling again at 5AM in the morning, The trees are starting to blossom again and several critters come out of hibernation.
And i also feel like it is spring. I am missing that winter feeling of being happy at home while it is cold outside. It is hot enough to keep the windows open. :\
Full sun in a clear blue sky burning away...

How is the weather at your current location ?

Sucks. Currently about 60F, will be >70F tomorrow. There was a slug out on the step this morning, and I'm expecting to see my toad Tubby any day now.

It was above 70ºF (that's 21ºC for you anti-Americans) yesterday and will probably be the same today. That's in Atlanta.

I'm going to assume that isn't code for something else ...

http://wtop.com/lifestyle/2015/12/upside-down-weather-pattern-across-us-linked-to-el-nino/

In addition to El Nino, a weather pattern called the North Atlantic Oscillation is also helping keep cold air bottled up in the Arctic. Combine that with warm temperatures around the planet from man-made global warming, he said, and you have a recipe for intense weather: “There are a couple of natural patterns at work, and then there’s this human-caused component too.”

With such balmy temperatures in the Northeast, Pine Oaks Golf Club in Easton, Massachusetts, is probably having its busiest December since it was built more than 50 years ago — a bonus for a club that doesn’t count on much winter revenue.

“We’ve got 65 degrees coming up on Christmas Eve,” said Scott Ibbitson, a golf specialist at the course. “It’ll be our busiest December day ever.”

While I don't dismiss global warming...can we please stop throwing it into every report on anomalous weather patterns as a cause? FFS warm Decembers are not unheard of. There isn't crap going to be done about global warming just like we aren't going to stop using oil. You want to slow global warming? Kill yourself and your family. It's the only way to be sure.

It is winds flowing and ocean currents flowing.
Here, we currently get the warm air from southern Europe and Africa. But in a day that can change to a wind coming from eastern Europe and farther away Russia. And then the temperatures plummet because of the arctic breeze.

I enjoy my non icy December.

Although next week looks not so nice. Good thing I'm off for the holidays.

Yeah, almost 70 degrees on Christmas day, over 70 the day after. Crazy. Hell, this morning it was pouring down rain during my 400m interval runs so I just ran without a shirt. It was 63 degrees out.

***WHAT MONTH IS IT???***

Loving the weather. Some people still want to jinx it though by expressing regret at not having "a white christmas". I for one enjoy not having to unbury the car from a octa quadrouple double helpings of snow every morning.

The needed exercise keeps you fit with all the food festivities around Christmas.
Eat much, burn much calories.

Now you might as well already start with replacing that belt with suspenders.

Or being stuck on the roads with a bunch of people that turn into hamfooted buffoons once any sort of frozen precipitation starts to accumulate on the surface.

Cold, windy, and record rain here in the NW. Also much needed snow piling up in the mountains.

Oh well, i get the message. I will just sit in my refrigerator for a while.
But come on, we do not need huge amounts of snow, just a 1 or 2 inches of snow is enough.

I still really like that "yay , i am at home while it is cold out side " feeling.
And i am not having it.

That look through the window while everything is white and cold out side.
And having fun while watching this classic movie :

Or playing return to castle Wolfenstein again. The cold outside really sets the ambiance.

I am going to play Clive Barkers Jericho. I still need to finish it.

Tomorrow i will make the hardware for my sensor. Then i write some software to access the image data.
And display it on my 6100 lcd.

But tonight, it is booze time, music time, and game time.
