Hey y'all,

I just got Terraria last week and already have 40 hours logged. Love the game. Only issue is I'm stuck at the wall of flesh. I've read a few guides but was wondering if I should do anything in particular. I need to defeat it to up the game's difficulty!

The first thing is to build a long floor over the lava, so you can continue to retreat while you attack the wall. I think I used the mini-shark to kill it the first time. Make sure you have lots of health potions and ammo. Later on, the wall of flesh becomes pretty easy once you have better weapons.

What kind of weapons and armour do you have right now? You only need a short platform, around 600 blocks should be enough with decent gear. Keep shooting while retreating once you summon. The worse your gear is, the longer the platform you will need.

While you can kill it using pretty weak weapons, it's best to get good gear before the fight because you'll need a good kit anyways once hardmode starts.

therraria can be frustrating before the wall of flesh, because it's very random which weapons you will have - you can have good stuff that will rip it apart, or crap which will barely scratch it. you need to grind some more and get some decent gear.

Only three pages and not a new post in the last seven months? I believe a new topic is just fine.

As for the WoF, you definitely want to get some Molten gear before taking him on, especially if this is your first time. After you have some molten gear and an Obsidian Shield, you will want to build a long walkway and make it smooth enough that you can run unobstructed for a very long time. If you don't have the firepower to take him out quickly, you will want the extra floor because the moment you reach the end of your walkway, you lose.
