When the Arabs first defeated the Rajput and Punjabi Armies they burned down every Buddhist and Hindu temple in North India and replaced it with a mosque. Not only that they used Indians as slaves just as they did with Europeans and Africans. In fact the Hindu Kush mountaints in Afghanistan mean Hindu slaughter in Persian or Arabic. Millions died as they were sent as slaves to the north in Russia.

LOL, by the way, common misconception most Muslims don't even try to correct. The Word Islam does not mean or even imply peace. The root word SLM in Hebrew means peace, but Islam in arabic SLM means servant or slave. Slaves or servants to the will of Allah. Muslims don't correct this b/c they like the positive press. Not much peaceful about Islam if you actually read the Qu'ran.

The Mughal empire, and most of British rule.

The British are responsible for the fighting now, because they divided an India that could have been a single country. People were forced to move to a different country, thousands of miles during separation, which only served to inflame violence.

A key difference though I think is that many Christians are guilty of not practicing what Jesus preached, while terrosists are guilty of practicing what they preach, which is certainly not peace.

Right after the quake Kashmiri Muslim extremists killed 10 Hindus and 2 Sikhs in their damaged hut. I wouldn't put it past them.
