going lock to lock on the steering wheel is not a good strategy in any vehicle.
One November day we were enjoying the last day that 5300' Chinook Pass was open. This young fellow in an accord was carrying the ropes and chains, and another equally young park ranger were having a blast pulling out stuck cars with the park ranger's truck. Good times!
The accord guy would string out what ever was necessary to get the ranger's truck in the best place and it was fun to watch.
The state plow truck had come across a minivan in the ditch on a supered corner, and then slid into the ditch himself. Another young guy over his head LOL.
They got the lady in the minivan out but I could see the plow guy was worried. No radio coverage and he was not moving.
I walked over to him and asked him if he wanted out of the ditch.
He nodded yes please.
"turn your wheel right"
??
More!!
More!!
"OK drive on bye bye"
He was trying to climb out of the ditch up the super with the wheel hard over. I got him lined up straight ahead and he just drove out.
