My Oldsmobile Alero used to do better than that lol.

I think part of the problem though is lack of fine control over the wheels and the traction control ends up working against you. They should really have a "4x4 low" setting and also a diff lock setting. Those two things would make it easier to get unstuck.

The “diff” looked pretty locked there — the video was vertical and therefore filmed by a Neanderthal but you can see the rear spinning in sync with the front for a second. The problem is that the cybertruck driver is a dumbass, like all cybertruck drivers, and doesn’t have appropriate winter tires on.

Oh yeah the tires don't help. The default ones it comes with are crap. It would be the first thing I change if I got one. At least put some decent all terrain tires on there. Then again if I could afford one it would probably not be the EV truck I would go for. I'd probably get the Lightening.

going lock to lock on the steering wheel is not a good strategy in any vehicle.
One November day we were enjoying the last day that 5300' Chinook Pass was open. This young fellow in an accord was carrying the ropes and chains, and another equally young park ranger were having a blast pulling out stuck cars with the park ranger's truck. Good times!
The accord guy would string out what ever was necessary to get the ranger's truck in the best place and it was fun to watch.
The state plow truck had come across a minivan in the ditch on a supered corner, and then slid into the ditch himself. Another young guy over his head LOL.
They got the lady in the minivan out but I could see the plow guy was worried. No radio coverage and he was not moving.
I walked over to him and asked him if he wanted out of the ditch.
He nodded yes please.
"turn your wheel right"
??
More!!
More!!
"OK drive on bye bye"
He was trying to climb out of the ditch up the super with the wheel hard over. I got him lined up straight ahead and he just drove out.

I think this is a very smart way to make sure nobody parks right beside the dump container. Otherwise , it would have rained insurance claims and legal claims.
This way, if a person would deliberately park the car, spot on right besides the dumpcontainer there can always be mentioned : You did not park your car in the designated areas as shown with lines on the asphalt.
The dump container is there for a reason, it is not a transportation vehicle. As benefit, there is space to work for the construction workers as well with little chance that cars block the passage to the dump container. I assume there are based on the dump container.

Woah they must have been flying. I don't think this is an EV or CT issue, but bad driver issue.
It could be that in general the Cyber truck buyer pool by ratio is heavily stacked with total douchebags that would drive shitty vs many other cars.

EVs are heavier than ICE cars and have a lot more torque, both those things are going to make edge case accidents a bit more catastrophic.
A 3+ ton vehicle that does 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds?
#WhatCouldGoWrong ?

I'm no expert, but if they didn't go to a trauma unit, that's pretty impressive or lucky.

The people of Irvine must enjoy paying taxes. Either that or the cops stole it got it through asset forfeiture.

It's a D.A.R.E. truck. They apparently use exotic cars as part of their "outreach" program. Out of context, it isn't bad way to advertise. Might be considered cost effective compared to other options. I'd question how valuable DARE is, and whether or not that's a good use of police resources.
