Didn't know that was possible, but here we are.LoL it got uglier.
Doesn't matter. It's still the same account, just the card number is different. So I canceled my pre order, and they refunded my deposit. However the card I used changed numbers over a year ago. I'm not sure what will happen now. Does anyone know?
Cybertruck is gonna be this generation's Delorean.
Outstanding!! Thanks man!!Doesn't matter. It's still the same account, just the card number is different.
You're probably okay, but check your next CC statement. On March 1, 2020 I ordered tix to a Cirque du Soleil. Later that month, we received shelter in place orders and naturally all shows were canceled. Approx. two years later, they processed refunds. In the meantime my CC had experienced fraud, so I got a new card issued. So I canceled my pre order, and they refunded my deposit. However the card I used changed numbers over a year ago. It's weird because it's really big, but also not really big. I sort of think of it as a Subaru Forester with angles...5 seats, decent "trunk" (with the cover), etc. I was actually kinda shocked seeing the height:Its a lot larger than it looks (and likely why they made the nose a bit shorter), and not in a good way. Its a deceptively large vehicle. Plus only seats 5, and I don't think the bed is especially large, so this might end up being one of the worse vehicles as far as packaging goes and utilizing the space it has. That interior has so much wasted room and yet feels a bit cramped as well. I bet its tough to get used to as far as spatial awareness goes too. They'll need an EVF to assist with forward visibility like for parking.

I'm holding out for:
1. The final design
2. Seeing it live, in-person
My biggest complaint is the apparent front-end redesign, especially the front headlight bar. I mean, it could just be the angle, but this:

Doesn't hit quite the same as this:

I already got my refund! It was in my account Saturday night. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. You're probably okay, but check your next CC statement. Without going into all the details, I never got the refund from Cirque du Soleil. We traded a bunch of emails and they even told me to get a letter from my bank attesting that I wasn't refunded. I think that's way too much to ask of a mega-bank (Citi). I even sent Cirque a copy of the relevant statement and they never did resolve the issue. It's not a lot of money, so I'm not as annoyed as I usually am by poor customer service.
If only we were to be that lucky (Musk getting sent to prison then to fade into obscurity until like 3 decades later when someone tries to make him into a hero/martyr or celebrate him like people used to celebrate Turmp for his wastefulness in combining bumbling idiocy with weird extravagance). Plus that was I think the intention as far as styling goes.
Honestly I'd say its the opposite. The DeLorean was a pretty straightforward design with some tweaks that made it interesting (namely the stainless steel and gullwing doors) saddled with a very poor chassis/drivetrain that didn't match the looks. I think the Cybertruck will be the opposite, its got a very odd design that is then saddled with tweaks that make it compromised. The DeLorean the drivetrain didn't live up to the looks, but the Cybertruck the looks won't live up to the drivetrain (although sounds like the chassis might not be great either, but it'll still go in a straight line really fast I bet which the DeLorean really didn't and is a big part of why it flopped). Sounds like both are saddled with a bumbling jackass that is also hindering development of it because of insistence that they're smarter/more knowledgeable about how to do it (although in this instance its inverse, where DeLorean came up through the ranks and saw limitiations/issues with car production, but both ended up making the same idiotic mistakes - thinking they knew better and then trying to force square pegs into round holes).

I don't like any of the front changes. I knew changes were coming, but I thought they would be for the better.
That's been one of Tesla's issues in general. Even with multiple color options, there's not much variety. Your 2017 Model 3 looks almost identical to someone's 2023 car. That should change with the Highland refresh and future revisions to the S/X/Y, but it's hard to truly stand out in the Tesla world unless you get a custom paint scheme or wrap.I didn't hit me until someone posted the trailer full of them that there is going to be no variation in how they look. Could you imagine if all F150 driving around were all the same color?
