I agree. I really like my Mach-E but the Mav is the workhorse in our stable. We purchased it in January of '22 and after 7.7K mile(12km)it has proven to be a very capable little truck.the truck most people need. if i were in the market for a truck, that would be it. fantastic

It sounds small at first but it has done everything we have needed it to do.i dunno why anyone would get a truck with a 4.5 foot bed though
jeez my old ranger bed was too short and it was still longer than that
What stuff do normal people need a bed bigger than the Maverick, haul regularly? Is this a high % of the population? Or would you say it would cover a much higher % of normal usage vs. the amount of people driving massive trucks that do fuck all with them?ah yeah i guess if you've got a flatbed trailer too then it'll handle whatever doesn't fit in the bed
I do really want one, but I am stuck between not wanting 2 vehicles and not wanting it as my sole driver. Well that and I really don't too often need to haul stuff, but all wheel for going to the mountains during the winter would be nice to have again. It sounds small at first but it has done everything we have needed it to do.
Hauling lumber to build raised bed garden boxes.

Bringing home 20+ bags of potting soil to fill them. This was only half we put more bags in the bed.

Loading a pallet crate in the bed to take home and repurpose for strawberries.

We had a pretty good snow fall last year so I asked my father in law if I could barrow his bigger blower because mine wasn't up to the task. Went to his house and loaded it up in the bed of the Mav no problem.

Brodozers are worthless. Some of them can tow a trailer, but as a truck they have no utility at all. They're fashion accessories. Useless as tits on a boar hog. What stuff do normal people need a bed bigger than the Maverick, haul regularly? Is this a high % of the population? Not everyone wants a big truck, but still have haul things that don't fit in an SUV/trunk. Ranger is larger, not by much but that size should be the normal truck size, not the current offering. At least from what I see how under utilized they are now.The Maverick doesn't make a lot of sense if you live in an area where you don't drive in snow/ice and you need the trailer option. Ford forces you into the AWD option if you opt for the trailer package and now you're at 28k. For 2k more you can just buy a RWD Ranger that has a larger bed, more towing capacity, larger engine and a bigger rear bench. But also isn't as large as a full size truck for parking issues.
I can agree with this if you are talking about the 23MY or 24MY Maverick. We didn't purchase a 24MY Maverick though we purchased a 22MY Maverick. The Maverick doesn't make a lot of sense if you live in an area where you don't drive in snow/ice and you need the trailer option. Really?? Four outta the five pics I posted didn't need a trailer but you stubbornly decided that the fifth pic was gonna be the one you wanted plant your flag on? GTFO of here Manahan...ah yeah i guess if you've got a flatbed trailer too then it'll handle whatever doesn't fit in the bed

Ah yes the, anecdotal, the best kinda of evidence.lol all i know is that anything with less than 8 foot has been a nonstarter for most family and friends of mine who get trucks since they want to be able to haul 8 foot wood plus as many bales, bags of seed or feed, etc as possible.
i never needed the bed length when i had a truck though, drove a ranger for a few years till iwrecked itturned it into an abstract sculpture

What?? Less than an eight foot bed is a non starter?? Do you even know what kinda truck the average person buys these days? I fucking guarantee you it ain't a truck with an eight foot bed.lol all i know is that anything with less than 8 foot has been a nonstarter for most family and friends of mine who get trucks since they want to be able to haul 8 foot wood plus as many bales, bags of seed or feed, etc as possible.

Considering I almost never see 8ft beds, and the ones I do I notice because I think holy fuck that is one ugly mother fucker of a thing to drive.that's the thing though, it's a nonstarter for most of the people i know. gramps used to make fun of city people and their short beds (inculding my ranger haha)
my buddy has been looking for a decent deal on a used truck in the paper and dealer sites lately
but he has to ignore like %95 of the listings because they aren't 8 foot beds
that combined with the crazy used vehicle prices means he'll probably be driving his mid 90s f250 for another year or two, as long as it keeps limping along
