lol all i know is that anything with less than 8 foot has been a nonstarter for most family and friends of mine who get trucks since they want to be able to haul 8 foot wood plus as many bales, bags of seed or feed, etc as possible.

i never needed the bed length when i had a truck though, drove a ranger for a few years till i wrecked it turned it into an abstract sculpture

An 8' bed is fine...with a standard cab, MAYBE with the SuperCab, but a SuperCrew cab and 8' bed is gonna be long. I have a SuperCrew F150 with a 6 1/2' bed (157" wheelbase) and it can be a PITA to park in tight parking lots. (Sure rides fckn smooth though)

Not meaning to derail this further, but I've been looking at trucks lately. It is hard to find even 6 1/2' beds anymore (used anyway). The large majority of used/new trucks come with the 5 1/2' bed; I had one of those for 19 years and want something a little bigger.

I went from a 2005 F150 standard cab with the 8' bed to a 2018 F150 Super Crew Cab with the 5 1/2' bed. Wow...what a difference. I replaced that one 2 years later with one that has the 6 1/2' bed. Nice compromise with a Super Crew Cab.

Obviously, Tesla isn’t fooling anyone because there’s no other vehicle out there that looks like the Cybertruck, so maybe it’s just a fun jab at the Japanese automaker.

i still don't understand the sloped cap on top of the bed

they should've just put a regular cap on to actually provide some room back there

(and actually make it look like a real truck instead of a freakin warthog from halo)

The Cybertruck is just another line in the wastefulness of American auto marketing: oversized and extremely heavy vehicles that will tear up the road faster, require more battery cells (relative to smaller vehicles) to maintain range standards, and be more likely to result in a fatality in collisions between the vehicle and anything smaller.

- Its funny how the Tacoma wrap actually improves the appearance of the cybertruck rather than poking fun at a Tacoma.

All it needed were some molded panels and normal lights and from a visual perspective it would be been a much nicer design.

Meh, it's a lifestyle truck. It's like buying a Corvette, you don't buy it because it's practical!

My main desire is a 500-mile battery pack. Hoping they offer a 620-mile option!

Man, I dunno. I'm going to have to see it in person lol. Nose looks goofy compared to the original rendering & it looks like a squatty stance as compared to the raked look. With the panel gaps, it kind of looks like a run-down Cybertruck 20 years from now where the rear shocks need to be fixed haha
