Really? I don't find any of their cars attractive, least of all the Model X. For example to me an Audi A4 looks better than a Model 3.Unbelievably fugly. Up until this point, an important part of Tesla's success has been that they sell arguably the best looking cars out there.

To me, Model S is one of the most beautiful sedans ever made. I absolutely love the look of the current Model S. And the pictures I’ve seen of the new Roadster is gorgeous as well.Really? Not sure why, I just have peculiar taste lol...for example I think the current Mercedes C-class is hideous, but the previous gen to be good lookingTo me, Model S is one of the most beautiful sedans ever made. Meh, I could fit a full sheet of plywood inside of my Suburban with the windows up (and a twelve foot 2x8).Tesla Cybertruck To Fit Full 4x8 Plywood Sheet With Tailgate Stop:

It's a $100 refundable deposit -- not remotely a legitimately reliable number.
If you're hauling 16' material, you should be doing it with a truck that's properly equipped for it. Lumber racks and proper tie downs are a must. $600 will get you racks with dropped sides so you can load with a forklift. Another hundred bucks will add bolt on strap tie downs, and you're good to go.I would like the back window to open or roll completely down as that can be useful when hauling long objects. 4x8 plywood sheets are no big deal with 6.5 ft bed since you can let 1.5 ft hang over the top of the tailgate. But if you're hauling something like 16 ft long piece of lumber, you can't let 10 ft hang over the tailgate. Open back window allows you to carry 16 ft long items even with 6.5 ft truck bed by sticking portion of the item inside. I do that all the time with my Tundra truck which only has 6 ft long truck bed.
I changed my truck order to Tri-Motor. I think 500 mile range is going to come in handy, and I can wait since I already have a truck, SUV, and minivan.
We have that on all our work trucks and trailers. But on my personal truck, I can make do with couple strap tie down and open back window. Most of the materials are delivered directly to the job sites so I'm only picking up occasional odds and end pieces if we run short on something or forgot to include it in the delivery. If you're hauling 16' material, you should be doing it with a truck that's properly equipped for it. I've talked to three random people this week who have preorders and like it. I'm becoming really convinced this is going to be a thing.
Model 3 drive unit & body is designed like a commercial truck for a million mile life. Current battery modules should last 300k to 500k miles (1500 cycles). Replacing modules (not pack) will only cost $5k to $7k.
Interesting. They said the truck doesn't have back window but the Tesla picture rendering shows back window on the truck. Do they mean you can't see out of back window when the tonneau cover is up?Nice video from Adam Savage’s Tested...didn't know there was a VR experience too!
This is going to be iconic vehicle. With the magic tonneau cover, it's like truck and SUV all rolled into one. Once this hits the street and people see it in person and take a ride in it, it's going to be game over for everyone else.I've talked to three random people this week who have preorders and like it. Cybertruck has functionality of SUV with the roomy passenger interior and magic tonneau cover and utility of a truck. And with its massive 35 inch tires, 16" ground clearance & adjustable suspension, and AWD this truck should be able to go anywhere and take any beating. I loved this truck when I first saw it and thought it was awesome and the more I learn about it, the more I'm confident this truck is going to completely dominate. And the dumb analysts still don't get it and think this truck won't amount to much.I went through 3 phases with the Cybertruck:
1. WOW that thing is ugly!
2. But uh...the specs are...pretty dang good for the price...and it's kinda cool...in an ugly, lovable, adorkable way
3. I need it...give it to me now!
I pretty much had the same reaction Simone did at 6:40 into this video of the live unveiling:
My wife has already stated that she's stealing my Cybertruck, haha. We're at a place in our lives where we need a minivan, but we are VERY anti-minivan...and this puppy has 6 seats, plus a metal protective cover for the massive "trunk", which makes it pretty family-friendly for hauling strollers, sports gear, etc.!
I think we may still go with a Model Y & then do the Cybertruck later. The battery tech & longevity design on the Model 3 is already pretty good:
I'm hoping that both the Model Y & the Cybertruck have the million-mile battery design. Because, I mean:
1. Self-driving (plenty of future updates to be had)
2. Truck with protected bed
3. Seats 6 people
4. Stainless-steel panels & basically bulletproof design
5. Million-mile battery life
6. Off-road capable (AWD with 16" ground clearance & adjustable suspension) for snow etc.
7. Camper mode
8. 500-mile battery range
Yeah, it looks like they stole it out of a Playstation 1 low-polygon game, but there are some interesting numbers coming out:
Tesla Cybertruck is almost $20,000 cheaper than Ford F-150 over 5 years
Would make a great tax write-off as a business vehicle, haha!
