You can reduce this down to "People are stupid".At this point, I'm convinced that:
1. 99% of the time, the social media users we talk to online are AI-generated avatars emulating hormonal 14-year-old trolls (re: dead internet theory)
2. All stupid videos are carefully-calculated rage-bait-inducing clips design to boost views & sales
aka genius designs that get millions of likes lol
When they decided to drive the trucks off the flat bed trailer the drive shaft broke on the Ford making the F-150 inoperable. This did not happen on the Cybertruck.
Yep. It's all fake, just click bait, it's all just a big conspiracy. The recalls, the Cyber truck owners posting all their problems (while still being in a cult though kind of like you), hell even Edmunds must be in on it with their broken wank tank. When they decided to drive the trucks off the flat bed trailer the drive shaft broke on the Ford making the F-150 inoperable. This did not happen on the Cybertruck.
This is where I lost interest and realized this is just another click bait youtuber video.
Eh? Keep watching for the other tests. I don't see what the harm is. You don't see people destroying expensive toys everyday on purpose. This is the first video of his I have seen, I don't think it's very biased. When they decided to drive the trucks off the flat bed trailer the drive shaft broke on the Ford making the F-150 inoperable. Every part of that video was clickbait. I don't see f-150s rolling over logs or 7-ft concrete culverts everyday either. I am failing to see how any part of this video is a valid test of any truck's durability.Eh? Keep watching for the other tests. I don't see what the harm is. Useful? Did I say that? It's entertaining. I was impressed by the CT explosive test. The error notifications was hilarious.Every part of that video was clickbait. Perhaps you could point out which part in the video you found was useful for everyday truck owners?
I already got the blow up doll Elon humping treatment from @MrSquished which was expected. I'm hoping you can give me a little more.
Got it, so you found the video entertaining. No other comments about the testing methods used in the video?Useful? Did I say that? It's entertaining. I was impressed by the CT explosive test. The error notifications was hilarious.
Nope. It's entertainment.Got it, so you found the video entertaining. No other comments about the testing methods used in the video?
Except we do see trucks needing to tow out other cars, which is when this happened. How do you feel about the Edmunds WankTank fail like so many other owners have shown? All click bait setups? The recalls? Click bait?Every part of that video was clickbait. I don't see f-150s rolling over logs or 7-ft concrete culverts everyday either. I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.....Nope. It's entertainment.

I was not the one who posted the video. I spend a lot of time on YouTube and instantly knew that the video posted was pure clickbait. You see the guy drop vehicles from a flat bed and expect a serious review? This is the first time I watched his video.
Oh hey you! A bicycle guy now interested in trucks! Are you sure there isn't another reason why you dislike the Cyber truck so much? The marketing for the CT implies it can do these things. Is there any criticism or proof of the WankTank's issues that would sway @bbhaag ? So far he has dismissed it. I think he probably thinks even Edmunds is in on it.

Currently, I see it as a meme truck. It's a Tesla El Camino - a "mall rover". It seems to get stuck easily in snow, mud, sand, and water. Build quality is about on-par with other Teslas (i.e. kinda meh).
I really enjoyed the video. I hope they use the rocket launcher on it in part 2 lol.
What does liking bikes have to do with being able to discuss cars and trucks? I fail to see a connection.Oh hey you! A bicycle guy now interested in trucks! Are you sure there isn't another reason why you dislike the Cyber truck so much?
Oh you again.....the guy who called me a white guy with a small dick because I posted some positive things about Car & Drivers and Hagerty's initial review of the Cybertruck. What does liking bikes have to do with being able to discuss cars and trucks? I fail to see a connection.
It's fairly obvious I can't stand Musk, and all the evidence to what an absolutely shitty human being he is, is clear to see. Not to mention how much he lies about the products he is responsible for and brings to market, from FSD to the fake solar tiles he pushed to save his family's ass, to robotaxis and the android unit, etc..Literally everything he does is tainted with not insignificant amounts of bullshit.
As far as the CT goes, which is arguably the first really total Elon concept car they made, it's a shitty launch by anybody who is reasonable's standards. If it was a success, I'd be sad and you would be able to tell. But it was a shit show, and I am reveling in it. I can't believe you are defending it when there is so much data and info now to prove how shitty this launch has been. The question should really be, why do you love this truck so much you refuse to see reality about it?
Only because of how many more sales the ICE F-150 std version has. People are not idiots. They don't want to be part of this nonsense social experiment. They want a cheap utilitarian pickup truck. Extending that argument, they also don't want some unibody Maverick if regular (now jumbo sized) pickups weren't insanely priced, and I don't entirely agree with that, not trying to argue in favor of bigger is always better, just calling it like I see it, but also, if I were to pay north of $30K for a pickup, it's going to have a full frame.Tesla sold more Cybertrucks in May 2024 than the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T combined, despite being a $100k+ truck
Tesla Cybertruck: 3,907
Ford F-150 Lightning & Rivian R1T (combined): 3,590

For those who still have no clue, Tesla only started CT production a year ago. Take that East Saint Louis.
Range anxiety is a thing, but it's not a relevant thing compared to adoption cost for the average person. It's a luxury vehicle that is a hard sell because it doesn't really address real world needs.
