I hope to see one in person here. There are a few regular Teslas here that I know of as I see them around town sometimes so never know. It's not the nicest thing but at same time it's just so different I kind of want to see one in person. I'd also be curious how well they'll do long term. Steel starts to rust within a few years here because of all the salt, it's pretty bad.

Panel gaps? Or panel canyons?

The CT has always looked like a dog, but that matte black finish actually is a solid improvement.

For the cost of it, the workmanship is horrid lol.

That blind spot is bad too, I almost wonder if this was due to a crash test result where they had to add reinforcement or something. I can't see why such a big blind spot would be designed in.

form over substance and function, add in some shitty build quality, a bad jetsons episode, and you have the schmuck truck 2077

While I understand that Tesla has a reputation for fitment issues I don't think this is a fair assessment. All the CTs you see on the road now are being hand built which is not going to have the same tolerances as a factory built model.

I'm by no means a Tesla fan but to judge a pre-production model isn't fair. Lets wait and see what the fit and finish is like on these after the Texas facility goes online and has been building these for 6+ months.

Yeah I already mentioned that but it's not like the pics that @Kaido posted. I know it's kinda a meme now to make fun of Tesla and their fitment issues but they have come along way.

Have you driven a 2022 MY? I did last year when I was looking to purchase an EV. I ultimately landed on a Mach-E but the MY was a very close contender. The fit and finish between the two wasn't that far off.

When's the last time you drove a newer model Tesla?

I have been in my friends' 2022 Model X. They both bitched about build issues.

I'm gonna be honest. Most people bitch about issues with their vehicle. Google any make, model, or manufacturer and you will find a message forum ,FB group, Reddit post, Usenet post, or wherever that is full of people bitching about build issues.

So what did you think of the build quality of a 2022 MX?

Haha yeah I read that article to but to be honest I'll believe it when I see it. As far as timelines go the one thing that is true about Tesla and their CEO is that they ALWAYS over promise and UNDER deliver.
