I'd love to see them survive, and I've love to see electric cars actually be commonly available.
TBH I'm surprised Tesla has lasted this long though. Do they even have dealerships? How do you buy one?
Their cars are also more on the high end side from what I understand, they should have at least a few low end models that are in like the 20-30k range.
I'd totally go electric if it was more affordable. Though I'd have to really sit down and figure out how much I'd save by not putting gas in as maybe the premium is actually worth it. Then again, I don't even know where I'd have to go to buy one. Do you have to order it? And where do you get it serviced?
What would be neat is the heat is probably more instant too as I'm guessing it's a heat element, so the windows would defrost faster in the morning, and since it's plugged in it would run off the home power anyway when you start it. Electricity is dirt cheap compared to gas.
