Test drove the new Honda Civic today

girlfriend is getting an 04 Accord. I'm considering getting the new Civic. Should I get it even though my trade in is a crappy grand am that I'm currently $4-5k upside down on?

They don't even have any civics at the local dealerships in my town... they must sell out of em' quickly. Did you also get to test drive the sedan?

they didn't have any new sedans available, but I did test drive an 04 sedan.

They only had 3 new civics, they said they're selling like hotcakes

The new SI looks kickass, actually worth modding too probably

Si's wont come out till this fall/winter. Supposed to have a tweaked RSX-S motor with LSD! Easy to mod! 6th gear is taller for better MPG too bad it weighs 2800-2900 lbs...

Anything wrong with the Grand Am? (Yes, I know its a GM, and all GMs suck and are unreliable and blah blah blah.)

nothing is wrong with the Grand Am, besides a few minor things (ie heater control knob fell off)....just fell in love with the civic!

I know it would be foolish to do it....but...the....civic...is so niceee....and I hate GM.

The civic is a good car. My friend has one, and I'm able to ride in it all the time. It's a 2002 model, I think. Solid, well built, rides smooth and quiet, like my toyota camry. Definitely recommended.

If you're upside down on a perfectly good car, I'd keep it until you weren't upside down. Why the hatred for GM?

You have a V-6 in your Grand Am? If so, it is probably faster than the new Civic, so keep the Grand Am.

I have decided to keep the Grand Am, I think it is the wisest choice. It only has 40k miles on it and runs fine, I can stand to keep it a few more years.

I don't hate GM in particular, I am really fed up with the lack of dependability and reliability American cars seem to offer. I have owned nothing but domestic cars (1 Mercury, 2 Dodges, 2 GMs), and they all seem to explode. Keep in mind I baby my cars. I just don't think things like that should happen.

I own my home, still working on the stupid student loans. About 10k more to go.

If you already own real estate, you're ahead of the game. I've only owned used domestics for the last 30+ years, and only the '77 Bonneville was a lemon. The rest have been dreams to drive and keep in repair, but NOT ONE was a FWD. Makes a HUGE difference!

didn't they just make a new honda civic? there is another new honda civic?
