Testing a mobo that doesn't post

So my ASROCK 939sli32 esata2 stopped posting after I changed all the crap from my nzxt to a antec 900 It fired up and wouldn't find the hard drives. So I went in bios. The drives listed in the boot order under hard drives, but wouldn't list in the ide settings. I reset the bios many times and now it wont post. It doesn't spin up the hard drives wont turn on the dvd drives. The gpu turns on the cpu fan runs. I have tryed the gpu in another case it works. I pulled all the ram out of mine and put a stick in that is working in another computer and still nothing. It never posts to the monitor. I have a external case speaker hooked up and I'm not getting any tones. I have fired it up with just the cpu and fan hooked up and I don't get anything. I have reset the bios numberous times with the jumper and removing the battery.

Is it dead? Are there other ways to test it? Anyone know what it costs to have a mobo repaired that isn't in warranty anymore? I found a dual gigabyte board for 50 shipped. But amd is slashing their prices again tomorrow. It may just be time to say am2 and ddr2. But I need the money to upgrade if that is the case, but I will have to sell on here my x2 4200 and my 3 gigs of ddr1 ram. I am so pissed and lost at the same time. a little project to swap over stuff in a case and now i'm dead in the water.

That sounds more like a PSU issue to me.. Hard Drives should spin up whenever they see power... IMHO.

Sucks man, you might have given it a static shock. I've done it before..

Try this... in a "minimal" configuration - ie CPU, 1 stick of RAM, video card ONLY, with the board out of the case, sitting on the motherboard box or other non-conductive surface

1) Unplug PSU from wall
2) Switch on PSU
3) Press and hold power, to clear capacitors
4) set CMOS jumper to reset
5) take out CMOS battery
6) short CMOS battery slot with screwdriver (connect + to - temporarily), wait for 30 seconds
7) reinstall CMOS battery
8) Set CMOS jumper to normal
9) plug in PSU, fire it up and pray

If this works, add components one at a time until it doesn't

Try another PSU if you've got one lying around.

I have a psu tester and everything tests out good. :-( I've had it to bare minimum already and nothing. :-(

I pulled the cpu put it in the gfs box it worked reset my cmos again for like the 30th time put the cpu back in and fired it up its working.
