I've got a new rig I built -
AMD 2800 Barton @ 166 FSB
MSI K7N2 Delta-L
MSI FX 5600XT-256mb Video
2x512mb Kingston Valueram
SB Live Value (I have had this for years)
Enermax 475w Noisetaker PSU
Swifttech MCX462-V Heatsink w/a Vantec 92mm Tornado
Windows XP Pro w/SP1, all updates installed.
I don't overclock, I'm just a casual gamer and user.
I've been getting BSODs since installation about a month ago, all 8E and D1 stop errors. All of my drivers are up to date and I've tried rolling back and foward with them all. After a lot of work, I believe it's either the ram or mobo.
I've tested the ram three times using three different tester:memtester, windows tester and another whose name I can't remember, for a total of about 20 hours, with one 9 hour sesssion. I've switched the modules out and run them one at a time, to no avail.
I ran the Vid and sound cards in my last pc which was a 1200 T-Bird and never had a problem with them.
Now, is there any way I can test my mobo? I'm really getting to the breaking point with this and considering ditching it all and getting a P4. I'm thinking a higher end mobo might help, but if I go that route, I might as well as just get a new chip. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
