why because you say so? All of the above listed sups have real research and studies behind them, including L-arginine, DHEA at the mayo clinic, successful trials of D Asparatic Acid increasing testoserone by 40% and leutinzing hormones by 25% in men age 27-39 from the Journal of Reproductive Biology and Tribulus has long been used by bodybuilders. I know the results I have gotten so i have faith it is working and there is some science to back it up.

You should try to get your doctor's appointment moved up. I'm interested to see your levels.

I'd like to see some of that research actually posted. Could you find links to the abstracts? I know DHEA has shotty research on it (really inconsistent). L-arginine also doesn't have any effect on testosterone - it's typically only prescribed (as a conservative measure) as an NO precursor to improve erectile dysfunction. It's not involved in steroidogenesis anywhere. In fact, there's evidence than NO inhibitors can actually improve testosterone levels - the exact opposite of what L-arginine does.

I like L-Arginine for the pump it gives in the gym...

I tried DHEA and it didn't seem to boost my levels in anyway that we could tell.

Of course, everyone responds differently and there is a lot out there on just mental perception from taking something (placebo effect).

I have had good, great and bad luck with supplements. I truly believe in them especially when eating 'them' becomes impractical to impossible.

The supplements I am currently on:

Calcium 600mg + D400IU + trace minerals (magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese).

Potassium Gluconate 595mg

Vitamin C 1000mg

B12 1000mcg (I take two twice a day)

B100

Niacin 50mg (taken twice daily)

A basic Multi (Kirkland Premium Performance)

I get about 23mg of Zinc a day with helps with HRT/TRT

Panax Ginseng 520mg

Horny Goat Weed Extract 750mg (not going to continue it, it was a freebie)

Cosamin DS

ZMA at night

I'm on Androgel daily packs for low testosterone hoping this will also reduce my andropause-related nausea & hot flashes and other symptoms. My count was right at the low limit of the normal range according to my family physician, enough that I might be possibly below it if one considers experimental variations between results he said.

Trib T is no longer used b/c it was proved to be snake oil time and time again for test. Trib T is a massive joke.

D Acid is 42%, not 40%. If you have low T, a 42% increase is completely unnoticeable. Wow I went from 200 to ~280. Makes no difference relatively speaking to your goal.

I know b/c I've done the research. So yea, b/c I say so. Supplement companies bank on this stupidity. You're 39, just get a blood test and say you feel lethargic... doctors are ripe to prescribe stuff that actually does something, and it's cheaper.

This forum and this thread in particular is a fantastic display. Props to all.

So if someone has, say, 600 free testosterone, D-Acid could potentially boost it to 840?

That seems like it would be noticeable.

Tribulus is still used BTW...it's been proven it doesn't really work alone though. For most it acts more as a libidio enhancer though than a strength one.

It would be your *total* testosterone at those figures.

Everyone responds differently, but being at 900 total testosterone could prove much more anabolic than 600. Juicers go into the mid-1000's+. At those levels you literally can re-shape/define your genetic limits.

On a side note, one of the things I have finding funny in the TRT crowd is how personal some people take this. They like to make claims that 'they earned the right' and that guy's like me with simply low-T are just trying to get on 'roids legally and take advantage of the system.

I am also finding that many think they are experts on hormones simply because they take them.

There are a lot out there that hate me being legally on Deca-Durabolin right now and claim 200mg of Test Cyp/100mg of Deca 1x a week is a steroid abuse cycle.

idiots.

It's not. You really only notice low, normal, and abnormally high. You also assume it to be linear across the entire range.
