Personally I guess I'm chauvinistic/virginal enough to not want to hear women pooping (not to mention anecdotes that women are much more likely to squat over and poop/pee on toilet seats and leave used tampons around and...) that I'd rather keep segregated bathrooms. If a transman wants to use the seat then power to him. The most obvious reason to forbid transgender people from using their preferred bathrooms is to prevent peeping/sexual assault from fakes/a minority of perverts, but if that's the case, why don't homosexuals have their own bathrooms?

The ONLY answer, is to just eliminate the segregation entirely. Women poop, get over it, women bleed out of their vagina, get over it.

The children are the ones who will actually be able to most understand and accept the changes. This all comes from how sexually repressed we have become to think that undressing or bathrooms are "intimate". Truly laughable.

They are intimate, whether or not you think that should be the case. There's no changing hundreds/thousands of years of culture (depending on which you look at) overnight. I mean, I wouldn't call the Greeks or Romans sexually repressed, but even they sex-segregated bathhouses.

People seem to care a lot about what amounts to an imaginary "problem".

I couldn't care less about bathrooms but what about locker rooms? Would you want your daughter to have to share a high school locker room with a guy that identifies as a girl but has a raging hard on while getting undressed with your daughter and all of the other girls in the locker room? Heck even adults, would you want your wife to have a guy walking in on her changing at the gym?

Bathrooms are no big deal, if you are a trans and actually look like the sex you identify with then no one should even know what equipment you have.

You can see the nice strawman built up to blow right over. I think at the very least, this completely mischaracterizes people who are transgender.

You're concerns are a remnant of a binary gender culture anyways, it's just so much more complicated than that. What about a girl that likes girls? Or a guy that is now a girl that likes girls but still has a penis that can get hard? The possibilities are endless.

With the gender revolution the one thing we have come away with, is that sex and gender apparently is subjective and labels do not apply. As such, just do away with it, and get over it.

Define penis in a LGBTQIA+ friendly way that would leave nobody offended or disenfranchised. If you are able to then maybe there is an alternative reform measure I had not previously considered.

As usual, this is a solution in search of a problem. I've yet to hear of any actual event that such a law would have prevented anything. Its actual purpose isn't to protect anybody, but to drum up enough fear and hate to drive "social conservatives" to the polls in 2018.
