The wife texted the wrong number last night - actually it was because she was sending a message to her aunt, who recently changed her cell phone number. She got an angry response followed by an angry phone call from some asshole who couldn't connect the dots and realize that if you just got a new phone with a new number, maybe that used to be someone else's number.

when i got a cell phone around 1998 the number i got had previously been a dealers number. for months i got calls and texts asking for b0th prices and "where meet ya?" from all kinds of numbers. apparently they didnt believe it was a wrong number most of the time and told me to stop fucking around. i finally started telling people i was a detective and was logging who called the number for future court cases. took about a week of that and i stopped getting calls.

heh a couple years ago i got a few phone calls on my home phone while we were out. the guy left a very nasty message. it seems a drug deal went bad.

My former roommate was always slightly homophobic, so I would sometimes agitate him with joking come-ons. He was texting his gf and me at the same time. I get a message from him saying "I love you and I adore you." To which I reply "I love you too!"

Another friend of mine had a boyfriend with the same name as me. Out of the blue, I get the message "I want to fuck your brains out right now." Before I can come up with a funny reply, I get "Oh crap oh crap oh crap I didn't mean to send that to you!"

I got one once, I didn't recognize the number. They just asked, "he gon?" I replied, "yep". They answered, "ru naked?" I replied, "yep", I had just gotten out of the shower. They replied, "BRT!" Someone probably got an interesting surprise.

Some idiot call girl keeps using one of my Google Voice numbers in her ads every few months.

The VMs can be very disturbing.

I guess the ads only last about a week, as they die out after that time until the next ad is published.

My number ended up on the Sheriffs Office fax sheet as their fax number. Even after calling the office and letting them know, I still get faxes as voice mails on my phone.

this reminds me of a blind phone call of of my friends made years ago that I recorded. he called some # he found for a equipment manufacturer and got some lady. she was expecting some call from someone else and asked if he was so and so and my friend said yes. then she explained some problem and told him to call some other guy. so then we call the other guy and bs our way through trying to solve his problem and my friend ended up saying he would have to do more research to solve the issue and would call him back. he BS'ed his way through at least 10 minutes of conversation having no idea what the guy was talking about. it was great. i think i still have the cassette, need to turn it into a MP3.

I got a wrong number text a month or so ago that said, 'Did you hear that Julie and Brian broke up?" so I texted back, 'No, Really?!? Do you think it is too soon to ask Julie out?' Never got a reply.
