I was going to save some bucks and order 5 books from Half.com but my credit card authorization got rejected. By the time I went back one of the books was sold already, so I put in another order for the other 4 books using a different credit card. My credit card got rejected again. I am sufficiently pissed off with Half.com not to try order from them anymore. Maybe my credit cards didn't pass the test because my billing and shipping addresses are different? Anyone else have this problem?

Cyiode, it 's probably ur credit card addresses not matching, I've had that problem before.

What u need to do is call ur credit card company and tell them to add another address. This will make it pass the half.com "test".

Btw I use half.com a lot, but u gotta be careful with the sellers there. Some ship very late or no ship or wrong book.... If u really need the book, u should get it from bn.com or others or go with a highly rated seller with decent rating. Just simple advice for people who never bought there before.

Funny thing about buying books online (in my case with ecampus), if you use a one-time credit-card/one month expiration date...and the book isn't in stock...but they ship it a month later, you never seem to get charged. Of course, you can never be sure when a book will ship..and I was in a rush to get the book...now I have 2 copies.

Addall.com doesn't seem to include Bookpool.com in its list of bookstores to search. This is one of *the best* places to get technical books, at consistently lowest prices.

Pricescan is another good search engine that does pretty much the same thing as Addall.com but includes Bookpool.com.

I am afraid this is incorrect, addall.com do include bookpool.com.
The main difference between addall.com and other price comparison site, IMHO, is addall.com include US + oversea stores but other don't. A lot of good deals I found are from UK. I just received my books last week from Alphabetstreet UK, which took me only 4 days, much faster than I expected!
