Given the OP's history as a complaining tenant so far, I'd be willing to bet he gets a "special" number to call during the balance of his lease.

That picture catches me out big time, and shows immense truth in your story.
I'm surprised that you can produce the picture, because I was 99.99% convinced in the stories likely fabrication.
Sorry.
You most definitely are sorry. And sad for thinking futurefields and I were the same. You should apologize to me as well. Others in this thread should apologize to the OP as well (but they won't)...
Since the image has been produced, which seems to indicate that this thread is based on a true story, there is no need to look for other accounts, since the original story was true anyway.
So I'm sorry Dari, as I have falsely accused you of being the same user as the OP.
... In my defence, there do seem to be at least one "troll" on Anandtech forums, and the troll(s), seem to operate multiple accounts by the same user(s), in some cases. Unfortunately I don't have the means/evidence/etc to know exactly which accounts are connected to which trolls. This may have led to a "witch hunt", where false accusations have been thrown about.
Thanks. And I appreciate that you would say that. You're a gentleman.
I'd like to subscribe to your mailing list please.
It means I'm bored and would like you to share the drama.I'm not 100% sure I understand what you mean, here.

Is Mayne happy puppy or have I got my trolls mixed up?Mayne got banned (possibly for one month) for trolling (or similar), and since then a number of forum posters, have accused a number of other accounts of being Mayne. End of story, or is it ?
EDIT: Back on topic.
When are you getting the fixed/repaired dryer back (or have you already got it back) ?

That's just it: it wasn't an emergency. Apartment complexes and HOAs have rules about when you can do work that disturbs your neighbors. He disturbed a human being on a weekend for something that only an idiot would think is an emergency and then tries to tell us that it really was an emergency.
I'm new to apartment life, wasn't sure what constituted a true emergency.
My point: A text about a non-working dryer does not qualify as reporting an emergency. Nor is it "disturbing" a human being. It's what you do. You tell some one that the dryer isn't working.
Sheesh.
Really?

"How to increase ventilation/fresh air in small apartment?
I have a 1 bedroom apartment"
I don't agree with that, necessarily. An email is non-invasive. A voice mail is non-invasive. But I think most people read texts when they come in, and I think most people would expect to be notified about important things like family emergencies via text as often as via voice these days.
If there's a reporting system for routine problems like a busted dryer then you use it and let the system do its work. You don't ring the responsible person at home, do you? This isn't even debatable. The OP calls his landlord early on a weekend because he can't "freshen up his clothes." Really? Best troll ever.
OP, here's a hint for you: success in life is dependent on human relationships, so don't be a dick for no reason. Good luck getting your next important problem attended to now that you've burned your human capital on a stunt.
I disagree completely. He didn't "call" anyone. He sent a damned text message. Maybe for you people who obsessively watch your phones for any three-word text being sent by some former high school buddy, that qualifies as reporting an emergency.
that was actually a house with an apartment built into it that I was renting from a private owner
bit different than an apartment complex
No... what's wrong with YOU?
YOU clearly have some kind of emotional inbalance.
I'm new to apartment life, wasn't sure what constituted a true emergency.
I am new to apartment life.
Do I need to send a photo of all my prior residences to prove that to you as well?
I described my former residence in that old post as a 1 bedroom apartment for brevity's sake. It was a house that had a separate living area arranged in it, like an apartment. But it was not like living in an apartment complex at all. I shared the house with the home owners.
