Asus is usually pretty quick with updates. This is the third HC tab to get an ICS update, after the Prime and Xoom, I think.

I just finished and am typing this from my TF 101. I love ICS. Makes it feel like a completely different tablet. I tested the shutdown, it seems to work fine for me. Pops up with a prompt to shutdown or cancel for me. Maybe run the battery done and see if that fixes it? Otherwise I would try a reflash of the firmware. Because its definitely supposed to pop up.

Sweet. Dl'ed the ROM that lets you flash ICS and keep root. Waiting for the TF to charge .

I wonder if yall can use Prime tools to root. I know we used TF101 tools when we had HC.

Dolphin also seems to run much smoother than Chrome in ICS. Dolphin was pretty bad on HC, enough so that I was using Opera despite its inferiority in features.

Can't you just use OTA RootKeeper and do the OTA update? I used RootKeeper on my Galaxy Nexus and it worked great both times I received OTA update.

I'm just going with actual use, not benches. Scrolling with pages is much smoother with Dolphin than it is with Chrome from my little tests on pages I know were lagfests on Honeycomb.

Probably. Don't know that you can do it without a stock ROM though, I was coming from a custom Transformer ROM so no OTA update.

running the battery down now, pressing the power button turns on and off the screen like it should but holding it in does nothing

looks a bit faster to me. but all of it is subjective. dual core + GPU + 1GB RAM is more than sufficient for great performance. Only thing that kills performance is web page with lots of flash content. And games, of course.

Home screen and all app menu scroll flawlessly. Things feel snappier.

Definitely makes the TF101 viable again. I was waiting on this to decide if I'd upgrade to the Prime, or even TF700. Think I'll wait another generation now or get the TF700 when its price is significantly reduced.

Sorry I didn't know. It is opposite for me, Chrome smokes everything.

Chrome definitely loads pages faster, but it seems to suffer from the problem Dolphin had in Honeycomb. Try to scroll around the page quickly, and it feels laggy, or it renders the page slower than you can scroll. Very annoying.

Dolphin seems to be fixed in this regard in ICS. Lack of Desktop view in Chrome at this point is a complete no-go anyway. I use desktop only even on my phone.

Big problem I'm having now is mlb.tv will not go fullscreen in games. Seems to be a problem with flash, as Dolphin and ICS Browser+ have the same problem, Opera tells me to dl flash for Linux, and well Chrome I can't even get to the page cause of mobile only view.

Flash should work. Uninstall and reinstall just Flash.

Chrome mobile doesn't have Flash support.

Finally got mine updated. Had to restore back to stock because my rooted tablet it wouldn't update. Awesome update. I thought I loved ICS on my Galaxy Nexus, but this makes this tablet so much better. Chrome is really good on the Nexus, but it's really awesome on the Transformer.
