"Solly" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

Do you not get out or experience life much?

If a common abbreviation is really one of the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard then you have very little experience of life. Or were you just talking nonsense?

I have to come to his defense here. While not the "dumbest thing I've ever heard,"....it is a little silly. Second, I'd say I have a fair amount of both life experiences and TF2 experiences (600 hours), and I don't think I've ever heard the term. Lastly, wouldn't it be "Soley" for pronunciation, lol?

Its commonly used in referencing comp play and when talking strats in game. Its unlikely you would hear it in a pub server.

First, it's not common. Who says "solly" outside of TF2 players?
Second, it's a stupid abbreviation. The only thing it has in common with soldier is the 's' and 'l'. The 'o' isn't even pronounced the same. It doesn't reduce the amount of syllables at all and changes the pronunciation, so it can hardly be called a real abbreviation.
Third, it's called exaggeration. Do you not get out or experience life much? It'd be hard to believe you have if you've never seen exaggeration.
