Its not THAT big computer store ;] .They dont have even internet connection on these machines, BUT, im going to install driver with 100WU cache on each of HD`s, then in about a week im gonna go there again and "harvest" the crop of WU`s ;].
That should give me 500-1000 Wu`s a week ,maybe more.
I was idling for some time now with seti, but if its going to end, and there is a good cause ;] ,then im back .

Hey queue owners, how easy is it to sneaker-net from queue to queue? RaV666....you can set up driver or hide on all the systems and have them point to one seti queue on the lan, if they are all connected to a lan, and if it is easy to grab from the store queue and take home, then that could save you lot's of time.

I do have permission :], my friend that works there is responsible for 48hr burntime that these computers are goin through.
And whats better in burning-in then Seti@home huh ? ;]
Thats theirs stability test, of course they could be doin something like prime, but i convinced him that seti is better

It is not hard at all. For our work queue We bring in the new work units on CD and then take the results off via email/floppy. For the new workunits just pull them from a working queue folder and past in the remote queue folder. For Results they are in the client folder. Just pull all and then place in a netted queue's client folder.

Very easy....

1. On connected PC....stop queue....move downloaded WU's from queue to CD (burn them). Make sure to take them out of the queue folder, or you'll use them over and over. Highlight all the new WU's using Windows Explorer and make sure that the read only bit IS NOT SET. Restart that queue to download new WU's.

2. On Non-connected PC. Stop queue...add WU's from CD......take completed WU's to CD or floppy (small). Restart queue.

3. Connected PC....stop queue. Move completed WU's from floppy/CD to queue. Restart queue and flush.

Start over...

Here is a summary of the last couple of days. Notice we have once again fallen behind. BBR picked up a new member with 14,059 WUs.

It was a good feeling to close such a large gap as we did today but we still need additional power.

I have not used it myself. Maybe someone else can jump in here to help out. That link was found on the Ars Technica web site.

Let us know if it helps out ... then you could become our WIN98 Service Install Expert.
